Three airlines now have shopping portal promotions for January 2026, offering members up to 3,200 total points and miles after reaching spending thresholds. Earn up to 1,000 AAdvantage miles through January 22, plus 1,200 Atmos Rewards points through January 23, and 1,000 Mileage Plus miles through January 26.
Airline shopping portal promotions are a great way to earn extra points/miles for your next flight. Bonuses from airline shopping portals come in addition to the rewards you will earn through the shopping portals and from making purchases with a rewards-earning credit card. That means you can triple-dip on rewards with your online purchases.

Current Airline Shopping Portal Promotions
American Airlines and United have now joined Alaska in offering shopping portal promotions this month. Between all three promotions, members can earn up to 3,200 bonus points and miles after reaching spending thresholds.
It's still likely we'll see Delta and Southwest launch offers in the next few days, but these promotions may be staggered with the end of these three promotions.
American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping portal promotion
The first American Airlines shopping portal promotion of 2026 offers AAdvantage members up to 1,000 bonus miles with eligible purchases through the AAdvantage eShopping portal through January 22, 2026. This promotion has two offers, both giving 2X rewards after reaching the spending threshold:
- 400 bonus miles after spending $200 (2X rewards)
- 1,000 bonus miles after spending $400 (2X rewards)
Alaska Atmos Rewards Shopping portal promotion
Alaska has launched its first shopping portal promotion of 2026. Atmos Rewards members can earn up to 1,200 bonus points after reaching a spending threshold on eligible purchases in the Atmos Rewards Shopping portal through January 23, 2026. This offer has two tiers:
- 400 bonus points after spending $150 (2.67X rewards)
- 1,200 bonus points after spending $300 (4X rewards)
United Mileage Plus Shopping portal promotion
United also has a two-tier promotion for Mileage Plus members to earn up to 1,000 bonus miles after reaching a spending threshold on eligible purchases through the Mileage Plus Shopping portal through January 26, 2026. This offer has better rewards than the AAdvantage promotion.
- 500 bonus points after spending $150 (3.3X rewards)
- 1,000 bonus points after spending $300 (3.3X rewards)
Key terms and conditions
- The American Airlines promotion ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on January 22, followed by the Alaska promotion on January 23, and the United promotion on January 26, 2026.
- Qualifying purchases exclude returns, cancellations, shipping, taxes, gift cards, and certain ineligible products.
- Allow up to 10 weeks after the promotion ends for bonus points/miles to post.
- Purchases are cumulative; you don’t need to reach the spending threshold in one transaction or on a single day.
- Bonus miles from the American AAdvantage portal promotion won't count as Loyalty Points toward status. However, the base earnings will net Loyalty Points.
Our Take
Some months are better than others for airline shopping portal promotions. As far as rewards go, the Alaska offer has the best return of up to 4X rewards. If you want good rewards with the least spending, go with the first tier of the United offer for 3.3X rewards. If you maximize all three promotions, you can earn up to 3,200 bonus points and miles. On the other hand, if you only want to earn rewards with one promotion, how you value different airline miles should determine which way you go.
There's a good chance Delta and Southwest will launch January shopping portal promotions in the next few days. We will update this article if and when they come out.
We recommend checking sites like Cashback Monitor to compare portal bonuses to ensure you get the best earning rate on your purchase. Perhaps you're better off earning Amex or Bilt Points through Rakuten and then transferring those points to travel partners. But no matter which shopping portal you use, be sure to use a credit card optimized for online shopping or everyday purchases to further juice your rewards.
