You might be surprised to see us telling you about great prices on meal plans. That's definitely not something we typically cover. However, we want to use this opportunity to highlight some of the great deals you can get from “stacking” — a practice of using multiple discounts, bonus offers, and the right credit card…all at the same time.
In this example, you could combine cash back, shopping portal points, and using the right credit card for another discount via statement credit. Let's look at how it works.

Earn Thousands of Bonus Points With a Hello Fresh or Blue Apron Subscription
If you've never signed up for Hello Fresh or Blue Apron, Cashback Monitor currently lists numerous deals. You could earn up thousands of points or miles across several loyalty programs with a new subscription.

The best deals are earning 3,800 points with the Chase Freedom card or a Barclaycard. Here are several of the offers available:
- 3,800 Ultimate Rewards with Freedom Unlimited
- 3,800 points with a Barclaycard
- 3,100 AAdvantage miles
- 3,000 Ultimate Rewards points with Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
- 2,900 MileagePlus miles with a United card
- 2,700 Alaska Mileage Plan miles
- 2,600 Southwest Rapid Rewards points
- 2,500 Ultimate Rewards points with Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
- $40 through the Citi Bonus Cash Center
- $15 cashback with Rakuten
Whichever reward you want to earn, you need to be a new Hello Fresh or Blue Apron member. Minimally, this means using an email address to sign up you've never used before.
Stack Hello Fresh and Blue Apron Bonus Points & Miles With Other Offers
Just getting up to 3,800 bonus points or miles with a Blue Apron subscription might not appeal to many readers. However, you can stack this offer with multiple additional offers, depending on your credit card or shopping portal. Here are some examples of stacking offers together to reduce your out-of-pocket costs while increasing your earnings.
Multiple Chase offers for Blue Apron
Along with 3,800 Ultimate Rewards points, Chase cardholders can save $125 across the first four weeks and enjoy free shipping on the first box.
Rakuten Blue Apron offers
Rakuten members currently get $15 cash back on Blue Apron. And remember that Rakuten members can opt to earn Membership Rewards points. That means earning 1,500 Amex points on your first eligible purchase!
This offer is only available on the first box delivery for new members, and not available on free trials.
AAdvantage Shopping Blue Apron offers
Just like the other portals, American Airlines eShopping is offering savings of $125 across the first four weeks and free shipping on the first box.
Citi Blue Apron offer
If you prefer to earn points through the Citi Bonus Cash Center, you can stack earning $40 with the same perks as other portals.
Barclays Blue Apron offers
If you prefer Blue Apron over Hello Fresh, Barclays has several Blue Apron offers that stack with 5,000 bonus points, including up to 32 meals free and free shipping on the first week for new customers. These deals are available through December 31, 2024.
Signing Up Directly With Hello Fresh
Alternatively, you can sign up with Blue Apron or Hello Fresh directly. If you sign up with Hello Fresh directly, you can get 12 free meals across seven boxes and free dessert for life, but you won't get any bonus points or miles if you don't click through one of the shopping portals first. However, you'll need to decide if this is a better deal for you.
With the Hello Fresh offer, the average meal price for your first seven boxes drops from $9.99 to $4.99 when ordering three meals for two people. Your first box price drops from $70.93 to $29.93. That's with discount code MX-BOOQW6PHT.

Conversely, utilizing one of the above offers to get 10 free meals over nine boxes drops the cost per meal from $9.99 to $7.99 — and the first box from $70.93 to $47.95.

Note that the “free dessert for life” bonus means one free dessert per box.
Putting It All Together
As you can see, most portals are offering a handful of perks on the first order. This stacks with the bonus points or miles in each portal, plus options for getting extra cash back by adding additional offers to the credit card you'll use for payment. If you want to get a new Blue Apron subscription (and have an email that has never been linked to Blue Apron before), you'll need to choose which portal you want to earn points or miles with. Of course, some members will value 3,100 AAdvantage® miles over 3,800 Ultimate Rewards points, etc. And some portals might have different offers than several free meals to stack with the bonus points and miles.
There's no end date for the offers to earn up to 5,000 bonus points or miles. However, some of the offers they stack with expire, like the Barclay offers expiring at the end of the year. You should check your credit card offers and airline rewards portals to see if these offers are available to you. If you've already joined one of the meal delivery services, you could join the other to earn these bonus rewards. Just remember you'll get charged every billing period unless you cancel your subscription.
Whether these are good deals for you comes down to your budget, your eating habits, and how you value your points. You'll need to do the math to see how highly you value a month or two of meal kits with 10% off in exchange for thousands of bonus miles. But the point is that you can put together some great offers for lots of rewards without spending a ton of money — oh, and then you'll get some food too.
