Amongst a slew of recent loyalty program devaluations, we finally have some good news to share. Wyndham Rewards recently tweaked its award pricing for “Go Free Condo Award” redemptions. The result: You can now book Wyndham Vacation Club properties for just 7,500 points per night — including in appealing locations like Kissimmee (near Orlando Florida), Las Vegas, and a golf resort near Phoenix.
That's a 50% drop from the previous minimum of 15,000 points per night at these properties. Let's take a look at these opportunities and whether it's worth taking advantage of.
Wyndham Rewards Overview
Before 2019, Wyndham Rewards offered just one award redemption rate. No matter the hotel, you'd need to pay 15,000 Wyndham Rewards per night. In early 2019, Wyndham expanded its award pricing options to three tiers of award pricing:
- 7,500 points — or 1,500 points + cash
- 15,000 points — or 3,000 points + cash
- 30,000 points — or 6,000 points + cash
As Wyndham has added new hotels and partnerships, it's continued to use this three-tier award pricing for redemptions — including when Wyndham made more than 15,000 Vacasa Vacation Rentals bookable with Wyndham Rewards points. The new wrinkle: Instead of pricing at one of three tiers, Vacasa rentals are priced at 15,000 points per bedroom.
Wyndham used similar pricing for condo rentals at its Wyndham Vacation Club properties. Properties were priced at either 15,000 or 30,000 points per bedroom. That is until just last month.
Wyndham Rewards Adds New Lower Redemption Rate for Condo Award
In February 2023, Wyndham Rewards tweaked its terms and conditions to add a new pricing level for a “Go Free Condo Award”:
Redemption Levels: The Standard Redemption Amount (i.e., the amount of Wyndham Rewards points that must be redeemed by Members who are not Earner Cardmembers) for one (1) free night at a condo, subject to availability (a “Go Free Condo Award”) is 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 Wyndham Rewards points per bedroom per condo (depending on property).
Initially, we didn't notice any lower-priced properties. But, now that it's been a month since this change, I checked back and found that there are now a dozen Wyndham Vacation Club properties where you can book award nights for just 7,500 points per night.
And these aren't in overseas locations. All 12 properties (listed below) are in the U.S. and include some rather appealing options.
Wyndham Vacation Club Properties Available for 7,500 Points
As of writing, the following 12 Wyndham Vacation Club properties are available for just 7,500 points per bedroom per night:
Property Name | City | State |
---|---|---|
Club Wyndham Legacy Golf Resort | Phoenix | Arizona |
Peacock Suites | Anaheim | California |
WorldMark Indio | Indio | California |
Club Wyndham Pagosa | Pagosa Springs | Colorado |
Club Wyndham Cypress Palms | Kissimmee | Florida |
Club Wyndham Star Island | Kissimmee | Florida |
Club Wyndham Sea Gardens | Pompano Beach | Florida |
Club Wyndham Branson at The Falls | Branson | Missouri |
Club Wyndham Desert Rose Resort | Las Vegas | Nevada |
Club Wyndham Shawnee Village | Shawnee-on-Delaware | Pennsylvania |
Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Glade | Fairfield Glade | Tennessee |
Club Wyndham Patriots' Place | Williamsburg | Virginia |
For example, you can book a 1-bedroom 827-square-foot condo at the Club Wyndham Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix, Arizona for just 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per night:
Three of the 12 options are within striking distance of either Disney World or Disneyland. Combined with the extra space of a full-size condo, these properties are ideal for traveling families.
For example, the Club Wyndham Cypress Palms and Club Wyndham Star Island are under a 15-minute drive from many of the theme parks around Orlando. Both are available for just 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per night for a 1-bedroom condo award.
Even better, the Peacock Suites in Anaheim, California is under a mile from the main gates of Disneyland and it even offers a shuttle. However, every date that I searched returned no availability. So, you might need to call to book this option.
Build Up Your Wyndham Rewards Points Balance
7,500-point condo nights sound great. But what if you don't already have Wyndham Rewards points? Thankfully you might be able to generate more Wyndham Rewards points than you realize.
Wyndham Rewards is a 1:1 transfer partner of two major transferrable point currencies: Citi ThankYou Points and Capital One Miles. That means you can effectively build up a balance of Wyndham Rewards points by signing up or spending on cards such as:
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card: Earn 75,000 bonus miles when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
- Citi Premier® Card: Earn 60,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. Plus, for a limited time, earn a total of 10 ThankYou® Points per $1 spent on hotel, car rentals, and attractions (excluding air travel) booked on the Citi Travel℠ portal through June 30, 2024.
Plus, you can now transfer up to 60,000 Caesars Rewards points to Wyndham Rewards each year.
Save 10% on All Wyndham Rewards Redemptions
Although the headline is that you can redeem just 7,500 Wyndham points, you can actually book these condo nights for just 6,750 points. The trick? Being a Wyndham credit cardholder.
Just by holding one of the three Wyndham co-branded cards, you'll get a 10% redemption discount on all Wyndham redemptions:
- Wyndham Rewards Earner® Card ($0 annual fee)
- Wyndham Rewards Earner® Plus Card ($75 annual fee)
- Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card ($95 annual fee)
Each of these cards offers plenty of other appealing benefits. For example, the Wyndham Earner Business Card offers top-tier Wyndham Diamond elite status. That's not going to be worth much on its own, but you can use it to status match to Caesars Diamond status. And Caesars Diamond will get you a slew of perks — such as an annual free stay at Atlantis in the Bahamas.
- 8X points on Hotels By Wyndham and gas purchases
- 5X points on marketing, advertising and utility purchases
- 1X on all other purchases (excluding Wyndham timeshare down payments)
Bottom Line
Wyndham Rewards recently made a quiet but excellent change to its award pricing for Wyndham Vacation Club condos. Now travelers can redeem just 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per night per bedroom across a dozen U.S. properties — or just 6,750 points for Wyndham credit cardholders. And you can build up your Wyndham Rewards balance to take advantage of these new sweet spots by transferring Capital One miles or Citi ThankYou Points.

Any list of options at 15K? Sitting on a good amount of points and with 2 young kids a condo in a nicer property at a better location may be worth the extra. Thanks for sharing the non-Vacasa condo option!
Glad to help! Looks like there are 161 Wyndham Vacation Club properties in North America costing 15k per night. The easiest way to search is by going to: https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/locations Then filter by brand and point amount.
