General Capital One Card Application Rules
Like other issuers, Capital One has certain rules you need to follow if you want to apply for and be approved for one of its credit cards. Here’s an overview of Capital One’s known rules and restrictions:
- The conventional wisdom is that you can hold up to five personal Capital One–branded cards at a time, though Capital One's official position is that there’s no hard cap on the number of cards you can have.
- You can be approved for only one card every six months, and this applies to both personal and business cards with no distinction between the two.
- Existing or previous cardmembers are not eligible for one of these products if they have received a new cardmember bonus for the same product in the past 48 months.
- Be aware that Capital One may pull from all three credit bureaus when you apply.

Bottom Line
If you've been waiting for an opportunity to add a Savor-branded Capital One card to your wallet, now's a great time to apply.
If you're eligible and have a healthy credit score, it's worth taking a closer look at the Capital One Savor Cash. A $250 cash bonus after you spend $500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening is an excellent offer — especially for a no-annual-fee card — and the card becomes even more rewarding when paired with a miles-earning Capital One card.
Just don't wait too long. We don't know how long these elevated offers will be available.
