You may feel nostalgia when you think about the Wyndham Rewards program. And, that's understandable.
In late 2025, the program lost its popular Vacasa partnership. The Caesars Diamond status match, which gave Las Vegas enthusiasts waived resort fees, was possible by being a Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card cardholder. That's gone, too.
But the program still has sizable value if you know where to look.
Let's recap what Wyndham Rewards recently lost, then focus on where you can still find value.

What Value Wyndham Rewards Recently Lost
2025 was a rough year for Wyndham Rewards members due to the loss of one partnership and the watering down of another.
The downfall of the Wyndham-Vacasa partnership
First, the bad. As mentioned, you could book Vacasa vacation rentals across the Americas for up to 30,000 points a night. Some properties retailed for as much as $500 per night, delivering tremendous value. This was particularly helpful for families needing multiple bedrooms and ideal for stays in pricey, peak-season destinations.
However, Wyndham and Vacasa have now completely ended their partnership. The last day to book a new Vacasa reservation with Wyndham Rewards points was November 30, 2025, and stays must have been completed by January 31, 2026.
A stop to the Wyndham/Caesars merry-go-round
Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card cardholders get automatic Wyndham Diamond status. In the past, you could match that status to Caesars Entertainment and earn Caesars Diamond status.
Caesars put a stop to that easy path to status in early 2025.
The biggest benefit to holding Caesars Diamond status is no resort fees when staying at a Caesars property. The $100 celebration dinner is a close second. You can still match to Caesars Diamond, but Wyndham Diamond must be earned through qualifying stays — 40 nights per year — rather than through a credit card benefit.

Where the Value Remains for Wyndham Rewards
While it's easy to focus on the negatives, Wyndham Rewards still offers some compelling value. Here's how.
Redemptions from just 7,500 points
From South Korea to Poland, Wyndham points still offer value in select destinations. For example, this Vienna House property in Krakow costs only 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points:

And, just a short flight from Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, this Ramada property on Jeju Island is also 7,500 points:

Or, maybe you want to explore Prague this summer and avoid the high cash prices. Well, the city has two 7,500-properties to choose from, with peak summer July availability at that:

Cardholder discounts
As if a 7,500-point-per-night rate wasn't cheap enough, you can save 10% on all point redemptions just by having a Wyndham Rewards credit card. That's true even on the $0 annual fee Wyndham Rewards Earner® Card.
Combined with Wyndham's set award pricing, cardholders only need to pay:
- 7,500 => 6,750 points per night
- 15,000 => 13,500 points per night
- 30,000 => 27,000 points per night
Automatic Diamond status
Wyndham Diamond status is an automatic perk for Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card cardholders. With a modest $95 annual fee, this status alone has value for both domestic and international stays.
Specifically, Diamond members benefit from both suite upgrades (based upon availability) and a welcome amenity at check-in.
Anecdotally, while late checkout and breakfast are not guaranteed like they are with certain elite tiers at Marriott and Hyatt, I’ve often received checkout times well past 1 p.m., along with thoughtful perks such as tea service in South Korea and market items in Poland.
Top-tier status can also unlock additional status match opportunities. If you prefer not to apply for the Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card, you may be able to match into Wyndham Diamond from a competing hotel program.

Bottom Line
While it's easy to focus on what's been lost, Wyndham Rewards still has strategic value for those willing to dig in.
Redemptions start at 7,500 points (or even cheaper for cardholders). Points are easy to earn thanks to 1:1 transfers from Capital One and Citi. And elite status levels are achievable. While you can no longer status match elite status earned through a card, you can still unlock plenty of valuable Caesars Diamond benefits by earning Wyndham elite status through stays.
