As hotels and loyalty programs continue to evolve, they’re finding new ways to make their programs more engaging and rewarding. New hotel brands are constantly popping up to tempt you to try something different. Hilton Honors is no exception, with its partnership with AutoCamp offering a way to experience the outdoors while still enjoying the benefits you’ve come to know and love.
Here are some key points to keep in mind when booking a one-of-a-kind outdoor stay with AutoCamp through Hilton Honors, now that the partnership is fully live.
What Is AutoCamp?
AutoCamp properties are built around one of the latest travel trends that, until recently, was largely untapped by major hotel brands: glamping. They blend the outdoor experience of camping with the comfort and design of a boutique hotel.

Founded in 2012, AutoCamp now operates properties near iconic natural destinations, including several national parks. Depending on the location, guests can stay in custom-designed Airstream trailers, luxury tents, or modern cabins instead of traditional hotel rooms.

Each property is designed to immerse guests in nature without sacrificing comfort. Accommodations typically include climate control, spa-inspired bathrooms, kitchenettes, and private outdoor spaces with grills, fire pits, and seating areas.

Central to the experience is a communal clubhouse that serves as a lobby, lounge, dining area, and general store, encouraging social interaction alongside outdoor exploration. Some locations also feature outdoor swimming pools.
AutoCamp emphasizes thoughtful design, hospitality, and curated experiences—like guided hikes, yoga, and campfire gatherings — making it appealing to travelers who want a stylish, comfortable way to connect with nature. All locations are pet-friendly (for a fee, with a maximum of two dogs). While there’s no daily housekeeping, mid-stay service is available for an additional fee, and extra towels and blankets can be requested.

Where Are AutoCamp Properties Located?
AutoCamp currently operates eight properties across the United States, each located near some of the country’s most iconic outdoor destinations. You’ll find them in the following locations:
- Asheville, North Carolina
- Catskills, New York
- Cape Cod, Massachusetts
- Joshua Tree, California
- Sequoia, California
- Sonoma, California
- Yosemite, California
- Zion, Utah
Looking ahead, travelers can also expect the opening of a ninth property — AutoCamp Hill Country — which will be located in Texas.
What Hilton Honors Benefits Apply to AutoCamp Stays?
Hilton Honors elite benefits are relatively limited at AutoCamp locations. However, since many perks are already baked into the experience, you’re not left wanting much.
All guests receive a handful of included amenities, including complimentary granola, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate each morning. Free parking and Wi-Fi are also standard, making it easy to settle in and focus on the experience.
All Hilton Honors members can take advantage of late checkout, based on availability. Beyond that, benefits vary slightly by elite status:
- Silver members get two eco-friendly waters.
- Gold members get a bundle of firewood each stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a room upgrade whenever available.
- Diamond and Diamond Reserve members get one s’mores kit and a bundle of firewood per stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a room upgrade if available.
Just note that to receive these benefits, you’ll need to book through Hilton — not AutoCamp directly. At the time of writing, there isn’t even an option to add your loyalty number on AutoCamp’s site.
Members can also redeem Hilton Honors points for AutoCamp stays and will earn 10 base points per dollar spent when booked through Hilton. Those with elite status or eligible Hilton credit cards can earn at higher rates, helping them reach their next award stay faster.

How to Book a Stay at AutoCamp
Booking a stay at AutoCamp works much like reserving any other property through Hilton.
Start by heading to Hilton’s website and logging into your Hilton Honors account. From there, enter your destination and travel dates. If you want to narrow your results, use the “Our Brands” filter and select AutoCamp to view only those properties.
Once you’ve found the location you want, choose your preferred accommodation and rate, then proceed through checkout by following the on-screen prompts.

Award searches work just like they do for standard properties. Simply check “Use Points” to view award rates instead of cash prices.

Once you confirm your booking, you’ll receive both a confirmation from Hilton and a separate confirmation from AutoCamp. The latter will outline additional details about your stay, including the cancellation policy and property-specific contact information if you have questions.
Bottom Line
For those who enjoy being surrounded by nature, with easy access to great hikes and national parks but don’t want to compromise on comfort or points-earning opportunities, this partnership between AutoCamp and Hilton Honors is worth exploring.
Given the growing trend of luxury and lifestyle brands moving from city stays to more experiential stays including nature surroundings, it's very smart of Hilton to grow its presence in a market that is sure to continue growing.
