GHA Discovery Launches Limited-Time Status Match Offer to Platinum and Titanium Status

GHA Discovery is offering a limited-time status match opportunity for elite members of various hotel, airline, and cruise loyalty programs. If you aren't familiar with GHA Discovery, it's a global hotel alliance, similar to an airline alliance, with 850 hotels across 45 distinct brands in 100 countries. Some brands, such as NH Collection and Kempinski Hotels, may already be familiar to you.

The status match opportunity allows members of a few dozen different elite programs to upgrade to GHA Discovery Platinum or Titanium status through the end of 2026. You need to act fast, as the status match will end on November 30, 2025. Here's what you need to know.

GHA Discovery Status Match Offer Overview

After filling out a quick online application and paying the application fee, you can upgrade to Platinum or Titanium status in GHA Discovery. In addition to an upgraded status, you'll receive a gift of Discovery Dollars that can be used toward your next stay at any GHA Discovery hotel.

To match into Platinum status, you'll need to pay a $100 application fee, but you'll receive a gift of $50 Discovery Dollars. To match into Titanium status, you'll pay an elevated $150 application fee, but receive $75 Discovery Dollars.

You will retain your status through the end of 2026. To enjoy status benefits in 2027, you'll need to qualify the old-fashioned way: staying a certain number of nights at a hotel or spending a certain amount of money. To make it a little bit easier, you'll earn double-tier nights on stays from January 1 to June 30, 2026. If you're eager to earn status in 2027, try to concentrate your hotel stays in the first half of the year.

To be eligible for the status match, you need to hold elite status with an airline, hotel, or cruise loyalty program. Luckily, there are many different eligible programs, so you likely have elite status with at least one. You can also match if you are a cardholder of select credit cards issued in China or India.

• A 4 PM late check-out, subject to availability
• Rooms guaranteed up to 48 hours prior, subject to availability

Note that if you earn status the traditional way, you can share status with friends and family. This benefit is not available through the status match.

How to Request a GHA Discovery Status Match

To request a GHA Discovery status match, you can complete your application through the status match program page. You'll need to fill in your name, email address, country of residence, and what elite status you currently hold. Then, pay the application fee.

You'll be asked to provide evidence of your elite status, which can include a photo of your elite card. You may also need to provide a photo ID to verify your eligibility.

Within three business days of your completed application, you will be notified if your status match has been approved. If it has, you'll receive a link via email to your new status upgrade. The upgrade is instant, but your Discovery Dollars can take up to ten business days to post to your account.

If you want to earn GHA Discovery Platinum or Titanium status, now is the time to do so. Just be sure to weigh the benefits of holding elite status against the application fee. If you don't have any stays planned at a GHA Discovery property, it may not make sense to pay up to $150 for elite status for the year.
