Sonesta Travel Pass is a relatively small player in the loyalty rewards scene, but this ever-growing hotel group is trying to draw in travelers with occasional promotions. Currently, the only offers are a handful of discounts, such as up to 30% off two or more nights, up to 15% off for military personnel, and up to 25% off for seniors.
Here's a look at all current Sonesta Travel Pass promotions and how to take advantage of them.
Global Sonesta Discounts with Promo Codes
Special rates for the military, government employees, and senior citizens
- Federal, state, and local government employees, including U.S. military personnel, can use promo code GOV to save on their stay. When traveling for business, the government per diem rate is honored. That said, the exact discount amount isn’t specified.
- Military service members, veterans, and their families can use promo code MILR to save up to 15% on leisure stays.
- Guests 55 and older can use promo code SEN55 to receive a discount on their stay. While this offer used to advertise savings of up to 25%, it no longer specifies a discount amount. A valid ID verifying your age is required at check-in.
Stay 2+ nights and save up to 30%
Sonesta is offering up to 30% off when you book a stay of two nights or more. Use promo code SAVEMORE to save at over 250 participating hotels, which is roughly a quarter of all Sonesta properties.
The actual discount varies based on the length of your stay, and you’ll see your total savings at checkout.
Mystery promo code for Travel Pass members
We might as well mention a promo code Sonesta offers for Travel Pass members, though we can't find out what it actually does. Members can use TPMEM to get a discount on the best available rate. However, when we apply the code to stays, the best available rate remains unchanged.
Either the code only works at specific hotels or on certain dates, or it doesn't actually do anything. This promo code is not available with other discounts, promotions, or packages.
Regional Sonesta Promotions
Several regional Sonesta properties offer savings that members can apply when booking. These savings are listed on the hotel's website or its “Special Offers” page. Here's a look at the program's current offerings:
Up to 25% off for West Coast residents at The Royal Sonesta Portland
California, Oregon, Washington, and Canadian residents who present proof of residence in one of these four locations can save up to 25% at The Royal Sonesta Portland. A limited number of rooms are available for this promotion, and the total discount amount varies by season. To make a reservation, click here to book.

Up to 50% off in St. Maarten
Both the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort in St. Maarten offer several promotions to save up to 50% off eligible stays:
- Use promo code WELLBE to save up to 45% and receive a spa package on stays of 5 nights or more.
- Use promo code HONEY to book a 4-night or 6-night honeymoon package at Sonesta Ocean Point Resort with an exclusive rate
- Caribbean residents can save up to 50% on stays of any length with promo code CARIB. Must provide proof of residency upon arrival.
2 months of free Grubhub+ with 1 stay
Sonesta has partnered with Grubhub and is offering members a free two-month subscription to Grubhub+. The only requirement is completing a stay at an ES Suites or Simply Suites hotel; you can activate the offer after your stay.
