Throughout the rest of November, United and Marriott’s RewardsPlus partnership will be a little more rewarding than usual. If you hold United Premier Silver status or higher, you can transfer your United MileagePlus miles to Marriott Bonvoy® points with a 20% bonus, which boosts the transfer ratio from 1:1 to 1:1.2.
But even with the more favorable transfer ratio, is this offer actually worth taking advantage of? Let’s take a look.
Transfer United Miles to Marriott Bonvoy With a 20% Bonus
One of the many benefits of the RewardsPlus partnership between Marriott and United is the ability to transfer points between the two programs. If you have United Airlines elite status (Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum, or 1K), you can normally transfer your MileagePlus miles to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio. But through November 30, 2025, that ratio gets a little better, with a 20% transfer bonus bumping that ratio up to 1:1.2.

Airline to hotel transfers usually aren’t that rewarding, and in most cases, you’re better off using airline miles for award flights and hotel points for free stays. That said, if you’ve got a bunch of United miles you don’t plan to use, this isn’t a terrible way to redeem them.
Based on AwardWallet user average redemption rates, for every 1,000 United MileagePlus miles (worth around $19.60 based on recent AwardWallet user redemptions) you transfer, you’ll get 1,200 Marriott Bonvoy points (worth about $11.16).
You don’t need to register for the RewardsPlus partnership to make a transfer. Just click here, click “convert miles to points,” and sign in to your account.

Key terms
Before you take advantage of any deal, it’s worth taking a moment to review the fine print. Here’s a quick overview of the terms and conditions for this United-to-Marriott 20% transfer bonus:
- This 20% transfer bonus is valid through November 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Open to United MileagePlus Premier members (Silver and above) who are also enrolled in Marriott Bonvoy.
- If you have Marriott Titanium Elite or Ambassador Elite, remember that you can register to get United Silver Elite status.
- Every transfer from United MileagePlus to Marriott Bonvoy during the offer period earns a 20% bonus on the transferred amount.
- You can transfer a minimum of 500 United MileagePlus miles per transaction and a maximum of 200,000 miles per calendar year.
- The name on your United MileagePlus account must match the name on your Marriott Bonvoy account.
- Converted Marriott Bonvoy points, including the bonus, should appear in your Marriott account within 24 hours.
Bottom Line
If you’re going to transfer points or miles of any kind, it goes without saying that it’s best to do so when there’s a transfer bonus on the table. Through November 30, 2025, transfers from United MileagePlus to Marriott Bonvoy come with a 20% bonus.
That said, this is really only an offer worth considering if you have little to no interest in redeeming your United miles for award flights. More often than not, you'll get more value using your miles that way.
But if your main goal is to pad your Marriott Bonvoy balance, remember there are plenty of other ways to earn points. You can earn a welcome offer on a co-branded Marriott credit card, strategically buy points when they’re on sale, or take advantage of one of the many other ways to earn points without staying at a hotel. And this preserves your United miles for more valuable redemptions later on.
