After decades of flying solo and operating a mostly domestic flight schedule, Southwest decided to start making friends in 2025. The Dallas-based airline just announced its fifth international airline partner: Frankfurt-based Condor Airlines. This partnership offers Rapid Rewards members an easy way to get to Europe. Here's what we know about the partnership so far.

Southwest Airlines Launches Partnership With Condor

Southwest has added international airline partners in a frenzy this year. After announcing Icelandair as its first partner at the beginning of 2025, it added China Airlines and EVA Air mere months later. And not even a month ago, Southwest announced its fourth partnership with Philippine Airlines. If you're keeping tally, that's three Asia-based airlines and one European airline.

The partnership with Condor, a German airline, increases connectivity throughout Europe. Condor serves nearly 70 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas from Frankfurt. You can already book flights departing on or after January 19, 2026, through Condor and third-party platforms. However, after performing multiple searches on Condor's website, we can't confirm availability, so it might be slow to roll out.

Unfortunately, you can't book these joint flights through Southwest just yet, which seems to be the standard for its partners. This also means you can't redeem your Rapid Rewards points for these flights, but hopefully that option will be added in the future.

Itineraries include one flight operated by Southwest and one operated by Condor through select airports served by both airlines:

  • Boston (BOS)
  • Las Vegas (LAS)
  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Portland (PDX)
  • San Francisco (SFO)
  • Seattle (SEA)

This provides even more ways for travelers, especially those based on the West Coast, to reach Europe. And while it might not seem particularly impactful, being able to fly on a single itinerary can save you lots of time and headaches. Booking a Southwest flight to Los Angeles and then a separate Condor flight to Germany requires you to collect your luggage, recheck it, and go back through security during your layover. Being able to book these flights on one ticket means you and your luggage can travel seamlessly.

Bottom Line

2025 has been an incredibly busy year for Southwest. It now offers Rapid Rewards members multiple routes to Europe, Asia, and beyond, which is something you couldn't say even one year ago. This partnership also signals an even stronger presence in the U.S. for Condor, which already partners with both JetBlue and Alaska.
