If you want to save money on a vacation package and earn Rapid Rewards points at the same time, now’s a great time to book through Getaways by Southwest. On eligible bookings, you can save up to $500 on select international vacation packages or $250 on select domestic packages.
Packages must meet a minimum spend to qualify for the discount. Unlike regular Southwest flights, which no longer include free checked baggage, Getaways by Southwest still offers up to two free checked bags.

What Is Getaways by Southwest?
Getaways by Southwest is Southwest Airlines' vacation package platform. Travelers can bundle flights, hotels, rental cars, and activities, often with significant savings. Rapid Rewards members earn points on the flight portion of their package, along with bonus points from select brands.
Many airlines offer similar platforms, including Delta Vacations and Stays by Alaska Vacations. While bundling can be convenient and cost-effective, you might still save more or earn additional rewards by booking each piece separately. It’s worth comparing prices before you commit.
Booking through Getaways by Southwest at certain resorts may also come with added perks like complimentary meals, entertainment, and on-site activities. On May 28, 2025, Southwest changed its baggage fees. However, vacation packages with Getaways by Southwest still come with two free checked bags.

Save Up to $500 on Getaways by Southwest Vacation Packages
Getaways by Southwest regularly offers great deals on vacation packages to a variety of destinations. An ongoing promotion with no end date offers up to $250 off packages within the U.S. or up to $500 off trips to Hawaii or international destinations.
Eligible packages must include a stay of five or more nights and are valid for all destinations offered through Getaways by Southwest.
Unlike other offers, this promotion doesn’t require a promo code, as the savings are applied automatically. The offer also doesn’t specify a booking window or travel dates.
As usual, a hotel stay is required for the entire length of the package to qualify for the discount, and a one-day advance purchase is required.
General terms and conditions for Getaways by Southwest offers
- Registration is not required for Getaways by Southwest vacation promotions.
- Only valid on new bookings.
- Vacation and hotel stay lengths must match.
- As of May 28, 2025, packages no longer automatically include free checked bags.
- Rapid Rewards members can add their membership number to earn bonus Rapid Rewards points on the package.

- Restrictions, exclusions, and blackout dates may apply to hotel offers.
- Seats are limited on some flights that operate during peak travel times and holiday periods.

Most Getaways by Southwest vacation promotions are not just for Rapid Rewards members. However, if you are a member, make sure to add your Rapid Rewards number when booking to collect points on your vacation package.
