In Bilt Rewards' hierarchy of elite status tiers, Platinum is the highest. And if you've happened to bag enough Bilt points or spent $50,000 on non-rent purchases to reach it, you can get Flying Blue Gold status for free.

If you're a Bilt Platinum elite member, read on for how to activate 12 months of Flying Blue Gold status.

Get Flying Blue Gold Status for 12 Months With Bilt Platinum Status

For its highest-spending members, Bilt Rewards is out with a complimentary perk to thank you for your loyalty. Starting today, you can activate 12 months of Flying Blue Gold status if you hold Bilt's highest tier of status: Platinum.

You won't just stumble upon Platinum. To get it, you'll have to earn 200,000 Bilt points or spend $50,000 on non-rent purchases with The Bilt Mastercard® or another credit card linked to your Bilt wallet. For most, that's no easy task.

But if you have Platinum status, open your Bilt app, navigate to the elite status tab, and tap “Elite status match.” You'll see an offer to activate Flying Blue Gold status. To kick it off, initiate a one-time 10,000-point transfer to Air France–KLM Flying Blue.

Within three days, you'll receive confirmation of your newfound status and a run-down of associated benefits. It's good for 12 months after successful activation. Plus, you can re-up your Flying Blue status next year, too, by re-qualifying for Bilt Platinum in 2025.

Flying Blue Gold status benefits

Gold status is the middle child of Flying Blue's elite ranks. However, it's chock-full of benefits that'll make travel on Air France, KLM, and the rest of the SkyTeam carriers, such as Delta, more rewarding.

Here's a snapshot of the benefits available to Flying Blue Gold elites:

  • Earn 7 Flying Blue miles per euro spent.
  • Access SkyTeam lounges and bring one guest.
  • SkyPriority airport access.
  • Complimentary seat selection three days before departure.
  • Free standard seats.
  • Check an extra bag for free on SkyTeam flights.

Possibly, the best benefit of having FlyingBlue Gold status is the complimentary lounge access. You can access SkyTeam partner lounges, such as Delta Sky Clubs, when flying a SkyTeam airline internationally — even when you're flying economy.

Final Thoughts

If you've got Bilt Platinum elite status, you can pick up Flying Blue Gold status. All it takes is initiating a 10,000-point transfer to Flying Blue. It's that easy. Even better, it's good for a year, which means bonus miles on flights, lounge access on international itineraries, and more.
