In early 2026, Wyndham Rewards lost one of its most popular redemption options when the Wyndham-Vacasa partnership ended. But if you thought that meant booking vacation rentals with Wyndham points was off the table, think again. There is still a way to redeem points for private home stays — through Cottages.com.
Here’s what you need to know to turn your Wyndham points into a U.K. getaway and how to earn Wyndham Rewards points to snag these vacation rentals.

Pricing of Cottages.com Rentals Using Wyndham Rewards Points
The cost to redeem points for Cottages.com is based on how many bedrooms the home has. Properties will cost you 15,000 points per bedroom, per night. If you have a Wyndham credit card, you will get a 10% discount. This brings the cost down to 13,500 points per bedroom, per night. These can provide some great value, depending on the property.
All cottages have minimum stay requirements (at least two nights), but you can pay a mix of points and cash if you don't have enough points to cover the entire stay.
This quaint house near the Cotswolds, England has two bedrooms and sleeps four. Staying for seven nights would cost you 210,000 Wyndham Rewards points (15,000 * two bedrooms * seven nights).

Price Cap When Using Wyndham Rewards Points for Cottages.com Bookings
Wyndham limits which cottages can be booked through this partnership. The limit for booking Cottages.com rentals with Wyndham points is set at $300 per bedroom per night. Only those listings under this cap are bookable with Wyndham points. Luckily, you can easily search which properties qualify for points bookings here.

One note about searching, though: Some of the properties only list rates for a week-long stay, which definitely changes the math a bit. Essentially, some rentals will charge you the same price whether you are staying a week or three nights. It isn't super clear on the listing until you play around with the available dates. I found several that listed the same price for both a few days and a week.

Wyndham hotel stays
You can earn points on Wyndham stays. For each qualifying stay at a Wyndham Rewards property, you'll earn 10 points for every dollar spent. Wyndham promotions and elite status can boost this earning rate even more. Even better, use your Wyndham credit card and stack your earnings.
Other ways to earn Wyndham points
- Wyndham Shopping Portal: As with other shopping portals, you can earn Wyndham points by clicking through the portal links to online stores and services.
- Wyndham promotions: You may be able to earn double rewards, extra points every night, or take advantage of other offers. Check the current list to see what's available.
Buying Wyndham points
If you're coming up short on other methods, it is possible to buy points and miles. Purchasing points is only advisable when the redemption value exceeds the price at which you can buy the points. The Wyndham Rewards partnership with Cottages.com is a perfect example of where this could make sense.
- Wyndham Rewards sells points at a base of 1.3 cents per point. At that rate, you can buy 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points for $195. Then, you can redeem those same points for a Cottages.com vacation rental for up to $300 in value at a rate of up to 2 cents per point.
- Better yet, Wyndham offers buy points promotions that lower the purchase price close to or even under 1 cent per point. As an example, with a 40% bonus, you can buy Wyndham points for just 0.93 cents each. That means you can pay less than $140 per 15,000 points or $280 for 30,000 points!

Bottom Line
The Wyndham Rewards partnership with Cottages.com remains a solid way to book vacation rentals in the United Kingdom using points. At 15,000 points per bedroom per night, this option can offer strong value.
For anyone who has ever romanticized a stay in a cozy English cottage à la the movie, “The Holiday,” this is one of the easiest ways to make that idea a reality. With multiple ways to earn Wyndham points, including credit cards, transfer partners, and promotions, these stays are more accessible than you might expect.
