ITA Airways has brought back its nifty refer-a-friend program. Through December 20, 2024, you can earn 2,000 bonus points for each person you refer to the Volare program — up to 10,000 points. And there are rewards for the friend you refer, too, who can earn 2,000 points by signing up with a referral code and completing a flight.
Here's how to take advantage of this promotion and earn bonus points.
ITA Airways' Volare Refer-a-Friend Program
If you haven't yet signed up for the ITA Airways Volare frequent flyer program, now is a good time to do so. You'll earn a new member bonus!
To score 2,000 bonus points, you'll need to do two things. First, register for the Volare program and apply an invitation code during sign-up. If you need a referral code, here's mine: N18CB0W914. Then, you'll need to book and complete a flight operated by ITA Airways by December 20, 2024.
The flight can be of any dollar amount, but this promotion best serves those planning to travel to Italy or around Europe between now and late December.
If you aren't planning to travel to that part of the world between now and late December but know others who are, consider sharing your referral code; you can earn 2,000 bonus points for each individual who signs up and completes an ITA flight.
When you open up your ITA Airways account's personal details page, you'll see a small section titled “Make your friends soar with Volare!” Click “Invite,” copy your code, and send it to your friend(s). You can earn up to 10,000 points for eligible signups via the Volare refer-a-friend program.
Whether you're a referrer or a referee, you'll earn a modest amount of points. But if you plan to start crediting your SkyTeam flights to the Volare program, what you earn from referrals can help you get closer to your next award flight.

The Volare refer-a-friend program presents a neat opportunity to earn miles with little effort. However, if you sign up using a referral code (or encourage others to do so), there's obviously a catch: The referee must book and fly ITA Airways by December 20, 2024 — which isn't that far away.
But if you're planning end-of-year travel or know someone who is, remember to sign up with a referral code or pass along your personal code. The rewards you earn can help you inch towards that next award booking for yourself!
