  • The offer travel window is through September 30, 2026.

Is This SAS EuroBonus Promotion Worthwhile?

SAS already offers excellent pricing for award flights between Europe and the U.S. — particularly in business class. Typically, one-way business class awards between the U.S. and Europe will set you back just 60,000 points plus taxes and fees. During this SAS award sale, the price drops to an excellent 45,000 points plus taxes and fees.

While excellent pricing is great news, the devil is in the availability. On many routes and dates, there is hardly any that is competitively priced. For example, from Copenhagen to Tokyo, economy is just 22,500 points during this discount — but business class is downright delusional at over a million points one-way.

That said, if you want to fly economy, there is great value to be had on that route, with an award setting you back 22,500 points plus ~$92 in taxes and fees.

Within Europe, you have many more options and award space availability. Although SAS’s European business class is nothing to write home about. A one-way award from Copenhagen to Madrid in business class in August 2026 will set you back 26,250 points plus ~$44.5 in taxes and fees.

Getting SAS EuroBonus Points

Unfortunately, getting SAS points isn't as easy as some other programs. SAS isn't a transfer partner with any bank rewards point currencies in the U.S. However, SAS is a transfer partner of Rove, Revolut, and Klarna.

If you are U.K.-based, you can transfer U.K. American Express Membership Rewards points to SAS EuroBonus. Amex says the transfer can take up to 5 days, but AwardWallet users have waited an average of 17 hours for transfers to complete. Still, couple that with the tight promotion booking window, and transferring your hard-earned points is a risk that is not worth taking since you might miss the booking window.

That said, this offer is excellent if you have an existing SAS points balance — especially for those who took advantage of the SAS EuroBonus Points Millionaire challenge.

Final Thoughts

This promotion can be very lucrative and provide you with a fantastic return on your points. However, the offer is of limited value if you don’t already have a healthy balance of SAS points.

Award availability also limits the value of this discount — especially if you're chasing a premium cabin redemption on a long-haul route. On the other hand, if you don’t mind flying economy long haul, or want to travel around Europe this summer, this offer could save you a ton of points.
