Bilt Rewards — the loyalty program that lets renters pay rent without convenience fees — has grown massively since its launch in 2021. Recently, the company introduced “Bilt 2.0,” a refreshed lineup of three credit cards designed to help members earn more Bilt Points, especially during monthly Rent Day promotions.
Bilt Rewards also has an elite status program of its own, aimed to reward loyal members with better Rent Day promotions, interest on points, and more.
Let's dig into the details of Bilt elite status, including how you earn it and the perks of doing so.

What Is Bilt Elite Status?
Bilt elite status rewards members for engaging with the program. You can earn status by accumulating Bilt Points, or you can “fast-track” by spending on Bilt credit cards and with Bilt partners. More on that later.
There are four tiers of Bilt status:
- Blue
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
Bilt Rewards status grants members special perks at each tier. Beyond the base level (Blue), you'll unlock benefits like bonus points on new leases and renewals at Bilt-participating properties, rent reporting to credit bureaus, interest on your points balance, a homeownership concierge, and better Rent Day transfer bonuses. As you climb the elite ranks at Bilt, many of these benefits get more valuable.
How To Earn Bilt Elite Status
There are a few ways to earn Bilt Elite Status. Let's go into detail on how each path to status works.
The first path is the most straightforward: earning Bilt elite status based on how many Bilt “Qualifying Points” you accumulate in a calendar year. Most Bilt Points count as Qualifying Points for status purposes. Activities such as paying rent or a mortgage, earning points from credit card spending, and earning rewards through Bilt partners like Lyft all qualify. But there are some exclusions:
- Referrals
- Courtesy points
- Incremental campaign bonus points
- Points awarded from member surveys
You'll earn status once you reach a threshold of qualifying Bilt Points in a calendar year, and you can continue progressing to higher tiers as you engage with the program. Here are the thresholds of qualifying Bilt Points required for each elite level:
- Blue: 0–49,999 points
- Silver: 50,000 points
- Gold: 125,000 points
- Platinum: 200,000 points
Fast-track to Bilt Elite Status
Bilt also offers a way to fast-track elite status through spending on a Bilt credit card and with Bilt partners using cards linked to your Bilt account. This path is based on how much you spend within the Bilt ecosystem, which the program calls the “Bilt Neighborhood,” and includes:
- Eligible credit card spend
- Dining at Bilt restaurants
- Walgreens
- Fitness partners like Barry's, SoulCycle, CorePower Yoga, Rumble Boxing, Y7, CycleBar, Pure Barre, YogaSix, and BFT
- Rideshare spending with Lyft (as long as you have selected Bilt as your earning partner)
- Bilt Travel Portal
Once you reach certain spending thresholds in a calendar year, you'll earn the corresponding status level. Here’s the requirement for each tier:
- Blue: Up to $9,999 in spending
- Silver: $10,000–$24,999 in spending
- Gold: $25,000–$49,999 in spending
- Platinum: $50,000-plus in spending
Just remember to link any non-Bilt cards to your account to receive credit for partner spending. You can do this on the website or in the app by selecting the “Getting Started” tab or navigating to the “Wallet” tab and adding the card there.

The good news is you don't have to choose a path to earn status. Bilt will award members the higher status earned through either method for the calendar year. Once earned, status remains valid for the rest of that year and the entire following calendar year, expiring on January 15.
Status with a welcome bonus
Another way to earn Bilt elite status is through a welcome bonus. The Bilt Palladium Card offers 50,000 Bilt Points + Gold Status after spending $4,000 on everyday purchases in the first 3 months + $300 of Bilt Cash..
Status earned with the card is valid for the year in which you earn it, the entire following calendar year, and until January 15 of the year after. So, if you earn the status in 2026, your Bilt Gold status will expire on January 15, 2028.

- Up to 1X points on rent and mortgage payments
- 2X points + 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases
How to track your progress toward Bilt elite status
You can track Bilt elite status in the app or on the website. Both status paths appear on the “Status” tab.

As you can see, I still have a ways to go before earning status. However, the tracker clearly shows how many points I need to earn or how much I need to spend through the fast-track path to qualify.
Bilt Rewards Elite Status Benefits
Now, let's review each tier's benefits and determine which status level best fits your travel and spending habits.
Blue
Blue status is the base tier in the Bilt program. Members receive it simply by joining and remain at this level until they qualify for Silver, the first true elite tier. Even so, Blue members still receive a few useful perks, including:
- Ability to transfer Bilt points to travel partners partners, with transfers starting at 2,000 points
- Free delivery on all Bilt Home Delivery orders over $40
- Rent Day transfer bonus offers
- Access to the Bilt Collection for points redemption
- Rent reporting to credit bureaus

Bilt has one of the strongest lineups of transfer partners in the points-and-miles space, adding Spirit as its 23rd partner.
And members earning points on rent through Bilt can have their payments reported to credit bureaus, which may help build credit. You'll need to opt in for Bilt to report rent payments on your behalf.
Silver
The first true status level, you'll earn Silver status after accumulating 50,000 Bilt Points or spending $10,000 in qualifying dollars within the Bilt ecosystem. At this tier, members unlock additional perks on top of Blue-level benefits, including:
Better Rent Day transfer bonuses
Rent Day takes place on the first day of every month in Bilt Rewards. Most months, Bilt offers a transfer bonus to one of its travel partners. While each promotion varies, higher elite tiers receive larger transfer bonuses.
Earn interest on your points balance
Earning interest on your points balance is a truly unique benefit for Bilt Members, though in reality, it won't result in a ton of bonus points. Bilt calculates interest based on the average points balance in your account over a 30-day period, using the FDIC national savings rate. Based on current rates, a member averaging 10,000 points in their account would earn roughly 4.2 points per month.

BLADE benefits
BLADE is a helicopter service operating mostly in New York City. With Silver status, you'll earn a 10% discount on BLADE flights, starting at $195, when booked through the Bilt app.
Lower transfer minimum
Silver members and above can transfer Bilt Points starting at 1,000, rather than the 2,000-point minimum required for Blue members.
Free delivery on all Bilt Home Delivery orders
Members will receive free delivery on all Bilt Home Delivery orders, rather than orders above $40 at the Blue level.
Earn Bilt Points Through Rakuten
Silver members and above also earn 1 Bilt Point for every $10 in Rakuten Cash Back earned through the Rakuten shopping portal.
Virgin Voyages elite status match
Finally, you'll be able to status match to Virgin Voyages' Blue Extras program, earning an exclusive cocktail event, one free specialty coffee per day, complimentary laundry service, and enhanced support every time you sail Virgin.
Gold
The next status level is Gold, which you can reach after earning 125,000 points or spending $25,000 in the Bilt ecosystem. You'll enjoy new benefits at this level, plus enhanced benefits from Silver and Blue. These include:
Gold level Rent Day transfer bonuses
Gold members receive a higher transfer bonus on most Rent Days. For example, Bilt Gold Members received a 75% transfer bonus during February 2026's Rent Day promotion with Accor Live Limitless.
Access to Home Away From Home Benefits
In 2025, the program added Home Away From Home, a partnership with Virtuoso that provides upgrades, property credits, and more when booking through the Bilt Rewards platform.
Bilt Travel Concierge
Gold members will also have access to a Bilt Travel Concierge to help plan their trip.
Gold priority access to Rent Day experiences
Each Rent Day, Bilt releases Rent Day experiences for its members to purchase with Bilt Points or money. Gold members enjoy earlier access than Silver and Blue members to purchase these experiences, which can include fancy dinners, concerts, and comedy shows.
Homeownership concierge
Bilt allows you to use Bilt Points toward a home down payment at a rate of 1.5 cents per point. At the Gold level, Bilt will assign you a Homebuying concierge to assist in the process.
Complimentary access to BLADE lounges, even if you're not flying
Finally, Gold members enjoy the same 10% discount as Silver members on BLADE flights, plus a very unique perk. Members can access seven BLADE lounges in New York City, Westchester, Nantucket, and Miami, even if they're not flying BLADE that day. Lounges offer a comfortable place to relax before your flight (or get some work done) and serve drinks and snacks.
Platinum
The highest tier in the Bilt Rewards program is Platinum. Bilt Platinum is earned after 200,000 qualifying points are earned or $50,000 spent in the Bilt ecosystem. As the top status level, members will enjoy the best perks available in Bilt. You'll also receive the same benefits as Gold status members and those listed below.
Complimentary BLADE flight each year
The first new benefit is a complimentary BLADE flight each year between New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR) airports and Manhattan once per calendar year. Once Platinum, you'll be able to redeem for your flight in the Travel tab on the app or website. You'll also retain your previous benefits, including lounge access and a 10% discount on other BLADE flights.
Flying Blue Gold status
Air France/KLM operates a shared loyalty program called Flying Blue. With Bilt Platinum status, you'll enjoy Flying Blue Gold status, which gets you benefits on Air France, KLM, Delta, and other SkyTeam airlines. These benefits include:
- SkyTeam Elite Plus status benefits
- Priority check-in and boarding
- Free seat selection options
- Extra baggage allowance
- International lounge access
Enjoying a status “double dip” is an amazing perk, especially if you're a Delta flyer who otherwise wouldn't earn status.
Platinum priority access to Rent Day Experiences
Platinum members enjoy first priority when booking Rent Day Experiences. This ensures that Platinum members have the best chance at securing a seat at popular events.
Dedicated membership support team
In addition, Platinum members have a dedicated support team at Bilt, similar to other top-tier status programs in the travel industry. When something is amiss or extra help is needed in the Bilt program, a dedicated support team can help members resolve issues more quickly.
Platinum Rent Day transfer bonuses
Finally, Platinum members get the best Rent Day transfer bonuses.
Final Thoughts
Bilt Rewards offers several perks for spending on its credit cards and within the Bilt Neighborhood ecosystem. Rent Day promotions can be especially valuable if you have a large Bilt balance. However, as with any points strategy, shifting spending to one program comes with an opportunity cost. Be sure to weigh the potential benefits before moving a significant portion of your spending to Bilt Rewards.
