If you carry the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, there’s a newly revamped benefit that might be flying under the radar. The Adobe credit gives cardmembers a $250 annual credit after spending $600 or more directly through Adobe’s U.S. website.
For businesses or creators who already rely on Adobe tools, this credit can help offset a recurring expense. Whether you're designing marketing materials, editing video, or building a visual brand, there’s real value here if you’re already in the Adobe ecosystem.
In this post, we’ll walk you through what qualifies, who can benefit the most, and how to make the most of the credit. Let’s break down how this perk actually works.
What is the Amex Business Platinum Card Adobe Benefit?
Starting July 1, 2025, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express offers a $250 annual statement credit on eligible Adobe purchases. To unlock the credit, cardholders must spend $600 or more in a calendar year using their enrolled card on purchases made directly through Adobe’s U.S. website.
You do not need to spend the $600 all at once. Once your total Adobe spend reaches the threshold, Amex will automatically apply the $250 statement credit to your account.
Enrollment is required. If you were already enrolled in the current Adobe benefit as of June 30, 2025, you should be automatically enrolled in the new version. If not, you will need to enroll manually through your Amex account to activate the credit.

For anyone already using Adobe or planning to use it, this benefit can be a great way to offset the cost. In the next section, we will take a closer look at which purchases count toward the $600 minimum.
What Purchases Count for the Adobe Credit?
To earn the $250 statement credit from your Business Platinum Card, you must spend at least $600 on eligible Adobe purchases within a calendar year. For 2025, the benefit starts midyear, so only purchases made between July 1 and Dec. 31 will count. Anything purchased before July 1 will not apply to this benefit period.
You can still qualify even if you used the older Adobe credit earlier in the year. Just make sure to meet the new spending threshold during the second half of 2025.
To qualify, your purchases need to be made directly through Adobe’s website in the U.S. or its territories, and Adobe must be listed as the merchant on your card statement.

What will count:
- Subscriptions to Creative Cloud All Apps
- Single app plans like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or Acrobat Pro
- The Photography Plan
- Either monthly or annual billing, as long as the charges are made directly through Adobe
- Any combination of charges that total $600 or more within the benefit year
What won’t count:
- Purchases made through third-party retailers, including Dell, Amazon, or authorized resellers
- Transactions where Adobe is not listed as the merchant on your card statement
- Payments made through digital wallets (like PayPal or Apple Pay)
- Purchases processed through mobile or wireless card readers
- Returned, refunded, or canceled transactions that reduce your total spend below $600
Who Can Benefit From This Perk?
This benefit is not for everyone, but it can be valuable for cardholders who already use Adobe products regularly. If Adobe is part of your business, creative work, or content strategy, the credit can help lower your overall cost.
Small business owners, content creators, and freelancers who rely on Adobe for design, video, or marketing materials will likely get the most value. If you're already paying for a Creative Cloud subscription, this credit helps reduce that expense.

It can also be a good fit for anyone planning to upgrade their visual content or invest in better branding tools. Adobe’s software is powerful, but it can be pricey. If you're already committed to using it, this credit is a meaningful bonus.
If you do not use Adobe or do not plan to spend at least $600 in a year, this benefit may not be worth pursuing.
How To Trigger the Adobe Credit
You must enroll in the Adobe benefit through your Amex account to receive the credit. (If you were already enrolled before June 30, 2025, your enrollment will carry over automatically.) You can enroll by clicking on the Benefits section of your account.

Then, use your Business Platinum Card to make qualifying purchases directly through Adobe in the U.S. or its territories. Remember that third-party purchases will not count. Once you’ve spent at least $600 with Adobe during the calendar year, Amex will apply a $250 statement credit. As previously mentioned, you can reach that amount over multiple transactions.
The credit may take six to eight weeks to post after the qualifying charge appears on your account. If it doesn’t hit your account, call the number on the back of your card.
How to Maximize the Adobe Credit
If you're going to spend $600 to unlock the $250 Adobe credit, you might as well make that money work harder. Here are a few smart ways to stack savings and get the most value from this benefit.
Shop through a cash back portal
TopCashback often offers 4% to 10% back on Adobe purchases. At the time of writing, the savings rate for the Creative Cloud All Apps annual plan is 8.41%, or about $55 on a $660 subscription. Use your Business Platinum Card, and once you spend $600, you’ll also receive a $250 statement credit from Amex. Final cost: $355 for a plan that usually runs $660. Stacking the Amex credit with a cash back portal can nearly cut the price in half.

Look for Adobe’s own promotions
Adobe frequently runs its own sales, especially around holidays like Black Friday, New Year, and the back-to-school season. These discounts can reduce the cost of an annual plan by 20% to 40%. If you're planning to buy anyway, timing your purchase with a promotion can lead to even more savings.
Consider annual billing
Many Adobe plans offer a lower monthly rate when paid annually upfront. This approach can help you hit the $600 requirement more efficiently and often lowers your overall cost for the year. Combined with a sale or cash back, it’s one of the easiest ways to stretch the benefit.
Bottom Line
The Adobe credit on the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express won’t be worth it for everyone. But if you’re already using Adobe for work or content creation, it’s a solid opportunity to cut your costs.
You’ll need to spend at least $600 to unlock the $250 statement credit, so this isn’t a free perk. For business owners, creatives, and anyone already subscribing to Adobe tools, the savings can add up quickly, especially when stacked with a cashback portal or promotional discount.
If Adobe isn’t something you’d pay for otherwise, there’s no need to chase this benefit. But if it’s already part of your toolkit, there’s no reason not to make this credit work for you.
