If you've read a few of our articles, you’ve probably noticed we generally advise against using Ultimate Rewards points for anything other than flights or hotel point transfers, as the value tends to be subpar. However, the introduction of unique redemption options like Sapphire Reserve Trips might change that. Not necessarily because of the value you get from the redemption, but because of the exclusivity of these experiences.

Upcoming Chase Sapphire Reserve Trips in 2026

- October: Celebrate Día de los Muertos in Oaxaca (October): Celebrate Día de los Muertos in the best city for its festivities — Oaxaca, Mexico. How to Book Sapphire Reserve Trips
To book Sapphire Reserve Trips, go to Chase's experience website and log in. Once the page loads, you'll see all the available booking options. Be aware that you will only have access to Sapphire Reserve Trips if you have a Sapphire Reserve or Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ card.
Once you've found your desired trip, just add it to your cart. When you check out, you'll have to enter the travelers' names. After that, you will have the option to use your Chase Ultimate Rewards or otherwise pay with your Sapphire Reserve (Rates & Fees). And you might want to opt for the latter, as point redemptions are only at a rate of 1 cent per point.
Once you finish booking, you'll get an email with the confirmation and detailed itinerary.
Ways to Earn Ultimate Rewards
Prefer to redeem Ultimate Rewards points for this experience instead of paying cash for Sapphire Reserve Trips? Here are a few ways to top off your account if you need more points:

Bottom Line
While Chase Sapphire Reserve Trips are not always the most cost-effective way to redeem your Chase Ultimate Rewards points, there are other factors worth considering. If a trip or experience is something I wouldn’t otherwise have access to without points, I’m more than willing to trade frugality for something aspirational.
Chase Travel seems to be doing a great job offering elevated experiences that blend cultural relevance with just the right amount of luxury, which is exactly the kind of travel I usually seek out.
If you have a solid stash of Ultimate Rewards, Sapphire Reserve Trips are definitely worth keeping an eye on. If one of the upcoming trips in 2026 catches your attention, set your calendar for when it goes live so you can book. Chances are that it will sell out fast.
