Rove Adds New Functionality
If you aren't familiar, Rove is a platform that lets you earn transferable miles on shopping and travel bookings without ever needing a credit card. However, if you do have a credit card, you can earn Rove Miles by shopping or booking travel, and you'll also earn points, miles, or cash back with your preferred card.
What makes Rove so unique is its impressive earning rates. You can sometimes earn 30X or more on hotel bookings through the Rove platform, and you can transfer those earnings to 20 airline and hotel partners. Rove's latest expansion introduces a ton of new features and perks for members, including even better earning rates and more ways to earn miles.

All-new mobile app
Rove has finally introduced a mobile app that is available on iOS and in beta on Android. The app allows you to track your Rove Miles, purchase gift cards, explore eligible Rove Dining restaurants, book travel, and more, right from your phone.
Rove is getting more personalized than ever, with the ability to view relevant earning opportunities based on your interests and activity. It's incredibly easy to use, and will definitely be a mainstay on my phone.
Rove Dining to earn miles at restaurants
Arguably the biggest announcement from today's launch is Rove Dining. You'll now be able to earn Rove Miles at thousands of participating restaurants nationwide. All you need to do is link an eligible card to your Rove account, choose a participating restaurant, and pay normally with your card. Your pending miles will automatically be added to your account and should post within a week of your meal.
Depending on the restaurant, you can earn anywhere from 3X to 12X or more on your meal. And remember — these rates are on top of what you'd earn by using one of the best credit cards for dining.
At launch, Rove Dining is available in select cities, including:

However, Rove has indicated that it plans to expand to more cities throughout the country. This is already a robust list, but if it's not in your city just yet, keep an eye out.
Purchase instant-earning gift cards
Need a handful of miles ahead of an upcoming redemption? You can now purchase gift cards from participating brands and receive your miles instantly. This gives you an alternative option to simply buying the miles you need. Get a gift card to use on future expenses, get miles instantly, and book your flight or hotel stay.
For instance, let's say I was just 1,500 Rove Miles away from a redemption. I could buy a Marriott Bonvoy gift card that earns 3X miles for $500. The 1,500 Rove Miles are deposited instantly into my account, and I know I'll use that $500 gift card on a future stay.
Revamped hotel platform
Rove Hotels is getting a huge overhaul. Not only is Rove adding thousands of new properties with better earning rates (if that was even possible), but it's also completely redesigning the platform. Now, you'll have a clearer view of room and property details, including more information on bed configurations, cancellation policies, and meal plans.
Rather than sorting through multiple offers for the same room, you can select options like flexible cancellation or breakfast as an add-on. Some add-ons will also boost your earning potential.
If that wasn't enough, now roughly 99% of hotels within eligible chain properties will offer Loyalty Eligible hotel rates. This means you can earn Rove Miles while also earning hotel points and elite night credits and receiving the benefits of your elite status on-site.
The Rove app offers an AI feature that lets you ask questions about a property, like pet policies or distance from an airport. This is still in beta, but it works well so far in our testing.
New Shopping Extensions and In-Store Rewards
You can now take advantage of new Chrome and Safari browser extensions, and Rove has introduced a mobile Safari extension that's connected to the Rove iOS app. If you've ever missed out on earning Rove Miles because you bought something on your phone without having access to a Rove extension, that problem is now solved.
Rather than opening up Rove and starting your shopping journey there, you can shop directly with your favorite merchants and earn Rove Miles without thinking. The updated extensions include thousands of additional stores, along with increased earning opportunities and more coupon codes.
What's even more exciting is that Rove is rolling out in-store shopping offers. That means you can earn Rove Miles when you go to the mall or while you're out running errands, as long as you pay with an eligible linked card. This feature will be available at thousands of retail locations nationwide, and more stores will be added over the coming months. You'll soon be able to enjoy personalized offers at your favorite retailers for higher earning opportunities.
