Citi has quietly added a dining credit to its premium American Airlines credit card, effective October 25, 2026. Cardholders of the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard® can now enjoy a $200 credit through inKind, split into two $100 credits from January to June and from July to December.

This benefit adds to the refresh Citi and American gave this card earlier this summer, providing more ways to justify its $695 annual fee. Here's what to know about the new inKind credit.

How To Use the $200 inKind Dining Credit on the AA Executive Card

InKind is a mobile app that lets users pay restaurant bills with their phone to earn rewards. The platform has over 10,000 participating restaurants and bars, and users can redeem earned credits — including Citi's new $200 credit for AA Executive Card cardholders — in the app at the time of payment.

To receive your credit, add your AA Executive Card in the inKind app as your primary payment method. The credit will then appear in the Wallet section of the app. As a cardholder myself, I checked whether the credit is already available for the current period, and it is. The credit appeared almost immediately after I added my card:

Under the Search tab, the app will show a map of participating restaurants in your area. While the number of restaurants is somewhat limited, this credit can still be good value, especially if you live in a major city and have plans to dine out anyway.

An Updated Look at the AA Executive Card‘s Benefits

With the addition of a $200 inKind credit, cardholders can find more ways to justify the $695 annual fee. As far as credits go, the AA Executive Card offers the following:

  • Up to $500 American Airlines Vacations credit (up to $250 on purchases January through June and up to $250 July through December)
  • Up to $100 credit for eligible in-flight and Admirals Club® purchases
  • Up to $120 back for prepaid Avis or Budget car rentals
  • A $15 Lyft credit after taking three eligible rides in a month
  • Up to $200 annual inKind dining credit
  • A $120 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit every four years

As a co-branded airline credit card, its credits are a bit more niche than a premium card that earns transferable points, which may offer broader travel and dining credits. However, you can maximize the credits while also receiving numerous travel benefits, including:

  • Complimentary Admirals Club membership
  • Priority benefits when flying American Airlines (Group 4 boarding, priority check-in, baggage handling)
  • 10,000 bonus Loyalty Points upon reaching 50,000, 90,000, 165,000, and 240,000 Loyalty Points
  • First checked bag free
  • Omni Champion status, and a free night after an eligible stay of two or more nights
  • Avis President's Club status

The August 2026 refresh certainly gave this card additional value to help justify the increased $695 annual fee for some cardholders. While the $500 American Airlines Vacations credit is solid value, it requires bundling airfare and hotel bookings. Similarly, Omni Champion status is a great perk, but its network is more limited than major hotel chains. The Loyalty Points bonuses and Admirals Club membership did the heavy lifting for me in keeping this card, especially as a frequent American Airlines flyer.

On the other hand, the $200 inKind dining credit is easier to redeem if you have enough participating restaurants where you live. Since I live in a city, I can see myself using it whenever I'm at a participating restaurant, or at least when I'm thinking about my next place to dine out. The six-month redemption period also helps, instead of a smaller monthly credit you have to redeem all the time.

The AA Executive Card is by far the most cost effective way to gain access to American Airlines Admirals Club® lounges. Even better, you can extend the benefit to authorized users (for a fee), and this card offers a free checked bag, on domestic AA flights, priority checkin and boarding, and a credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
  • Complimentary Admirals Club® membership for the primary cardholder
  • Admirals Club® membership for authorized user accounts
  • First checked bag free on domestic AA flights for you and up to 8 companions
  • Priority check-in, TSA screening lines, and boarding
  • 10,000 bonus Loyalty Points after you spend $40,000 in purchases within the year
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit
  • No Foreign Transaction Fees
  • Earn 12X miles for every $1 spent on eligible hotels booked at aa.com/hotels and eligible rental cars booked through aa.com/cars
  • Earn 4X miles for every $1 spent on eligible American Airlines purchases (increased to 5X miles through the end of the calendar year after you pass $150,000 in purchases annually)
  • Earn 1X mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases

Bottom Line

Citi and American Airlines added a $200 annual dining credit through inKind for AA Executive Card cardholders. InKind lets users pay restaurant bills with their phone and earn rewards. This new credit can offer solid value to cardholders and might be one of the card's easier credits to redeem, as long as you have enough participating restaurants nearby.
