American Airlines Vacations regularly offers discounts and bonus miles with select vacation packages. Throughout November, several American Airlines Vacations promotions offer up to $150 off select vacation packages, or up to 20,000 bonus miles. The platform lets you bundle flights, hotels, and car rentals, so if you value both simplicity and a good deal, then it's worth a look.

What Is American Airlines Vacations?
American Airlines Vacations allows travelers to book vacation packages with flight and hotel elements, often with a good discount. It's similar to other vacation booking portals, such as from Alaska, Delta, and Southwest,
While any traveler can book a package, AAdvantage members will earn miles on the entire package price, including the hotel stay, but not on taxes and fees. Regular AAdvantage members earn 1 mile and 1 Loyalty Point per dollar spent on the vacation package. All AAdvantage elite status members earn 5x that amount: 5 AAdvantage miles and 5 Loyalty Points per dollar.

Current American Airlines Vacations Promotions
American Airlines Vacations often offers promotions to save on eligible vacation packages, earn bonus miles if you're an AAdvantage member, and more. Note that the hotel length must match the trip duration to be eligible for these promotions.
Up to $150 vacation packages to the Caribbean and Other Select Destinations
Travelers can save up to $150 or get up to $1,000 in resort credit with eligible American Airlines Vacations packages to select beach destinations to get some sunshine over the winter months. Minimum stay lengths and spending thresholds apply. Use the applicable promo code when booking to receive the discount.
- $100 off Mexico and Caribbean packages with promo code BEACHES100. Minimum spend of $3,500 and minimum stay of 3 nights. Book by November 23, 2025, and travel between March 31 and August 31, 2026.
- $150 off Mexico and Caribbean packages with promo code SUNSHINE150. Minimum spend of $3,500 and minimum stay of 3 nights. Book by November 23, 2025, and travel by February 28, 2026.
- Up to $1,000 in resort credit with a 4-night stay at the W Punta Cana. Book by November 26, 2025, and stay by August 31, 2026. Valid on all room types. Combine this offer with the $150 savings promotion above.
The following blackout dates apply:
- 2025: November 27 and December 25
- 2026: January 1, May 25, and July 4

Earn up to 20,000 bonus miles on select packages
AAdvantage members can book a vacation package to select destinations and earn up to 20,000 bonus miles. Minimum spend thresholds and stay lengths apply to each package.
- 10,000 bonus miles at participating MGM Resorts in Las Vegas.
- 15,000 bonus miles at participating Riu Hotels & Resorts in Mexico.
- 15,000 bonus miles at the JOIA Aruba by Iberostar.
- 20,000 bonus miles at participating Dream Resorts in the Mexican Pacific.
- 20,000 bonus miles at participating hotels in select ski destinations.
- 20,000 bonus miles at participating hotels in Antigua and Barbuda.
It's unclear what the terms of these offers are or how to claim the miles. There are no landing pages for these offers, and the bonus miles are never mentioned when booking an eligible trip. So, if you try to take advantage, consider screenshotting the offer and reaching out to AA if the bonus miles don't post alongside your regular earnings.
Our Take
If you're planning a vacation and want to earn extra AAdvantage miles, you might want to consider booking your package through American Airlines Vacations. As with any vacation booking portal, you'll want to determine if you're getting the best deal and rewards through the platform versus booking each component separately. These portals are convenient but not always the best option.
