For a limited time, members of Flying Blue — the award program shared between Air France, KLM, and a few others — can multiply miles earned this year by up to 16X and receive a special bonus. However, you'll need to act fast as this offer is only valid until June 30, 2026.
If you have earned any Flying Blue miles this year, this promotion is worth considering. Here's everything you need to know about this offer to multiply your Flying Blue miles, including the cost and restrictions to be aware of.
Flying Blue “Multiply Your Miles” Details
To see if you are eligible to take advantage of the promotion, head to the Flying Blue Manage My Miles page, select Accelerate Miles, and log in to your account. Then, you'll easily see how many miles you've earned so far this year and your accelerator options.
In my case, I earned 80,873 Flying Blue miles so far this year that are eligible for this promotion. Interestingly, Flying Blue is considering miles that are transferred in from partners as eligible earnings. I certainly haven't flown Air France enough this year to earn 80,000 miles, but I did transfer 79,000 miles from Capital One for a few award tickets a few months ago.
However, for rounder numbers, we're going to look at another example of someone else on the AwardWallet team who has earned 5,100 eligible miles so far in 2026.
How much does it cost to multiply Flying Blue miles?
Options to multiply Flying Blue miles include 2X, 4X, 6X, 12X, and 16X. The higher the multiplier, the higher your bonus and the lower your cost per mile:
- Multiply at 2X (no bonus): 1.96¢ per mile
- Multiply at 4X (15% bonus): 1.70¢ per mile
- Multiply at 6X (20% bonus): 1.63¢ per mile
- Multiply at 12X (30% bonus): 1.51¢ per mile
- Multiply at 16X (50% bonus): 1.31¢ per mile
To fully maximize this promotion, you could pay $1,599.36 to multiply the 5,100 miles earned so far in 2026 by 16X. After factoring in the 50% bonus, you'd receive 122,400 miles and pay 1.31¢ per mile. It isn't terrible, but it's not terrific either.

Is This a Good Deal on Flying Blue Miles?
We don't recommend buying miles speculatively, so let's start by saying, “It's a good deal only if you have a plan for using these miles.” Second, it's a good deal if you can buy miles cheaply and redeem them at high values. In general, though, this is a decent deal. Flying Blue regularly offers members bonuses for buying miles. The most recent Flying Blue buy miles offer saw prices as low as 1.69¢ apiece, which makes 1.31¢ look fantastic. Keep in mind that you can subscribe to earn Flying Blue miles for as little as 1.34¢ apiece, so this offer goes a little further.
If you're a little bit short on miles for an upcoming award redemption, consider buying in small increments. It could also be a good option if you've exhausted other sources of Flying Blue miles and know you'll redeem them for more than you pay here.
This can be a good deal if you'd spend less on miles for an award redemption than you'd pay for a ticket in cash. For instance, I can book a Flying Blue promo reward ticket from several U.S. gateways to Paris (CDG) or Amsterdam (AMS) for just 18,750 miles. I'd only need to pay $399.84 to multiply my miles to have enough for the redemption (with almost 5,000 left over). Or, if I bought miles at 1.31¢ apiece, I'd pay just $245.63 for my flight.
However, booking the ticket in cash could easily reach $600. Even after factoring in the taxes and fees for an award redemption, you can save several hundred dollars on your ticket. Every little bit helps make travel more accessible.

Our Take
We've seen several airlines offering new and varied promotions in recent years, and the ability to multiply your Flying Blue miles with a bonus is just one such offer.
On the surface, it looks interesting. The concept seems compelling, but the math isn't always great. There are other ways to get Flying Blue miles; some of those are cheaper. However, this promotion can make sense in certain situations. Make sure to do the math before you buy — especially if your offer is only for the lower tiers or high cost per mile.
