If you're looking to get a head start on earning American Airlines elite status next year or want to make your next trip through a major AA hub more comfortable, it’s worth checking your AAdvantage account. American Airlines just launched two new targeted promotions.
The first offers an additional 500 Loyalty Points per segment flown, up to a maximum of 5,000 Loyalty Points. The second awards a one-time Flagship Lounge pass after completing an eligible flight in First, Business, or Premium Economy.
Here’s what you need to know about these limited-time offers and how to register.

Earn Up to 5,000 Additional Loyalty Points on March Travel
The most common new American Airlines promotion you might be targeted for offers 500 bonus Loyalty Points per segment flown in March 2025. You can earn up to 5,000 bonus Loyalty Points with this promotion.
If you're eligible, you'll see the offer in your AAdvantage account. Be sure to click “Registration details” and complete the enrollment process (by March 31, 2025) so you don’t miss out.
But keep an eye on the fine print — flights booked with American Airlines miles, partner flights, and revenue flights in Basic Economy won’t count.

Earn a Free Flagship Lounge Single Visit Pass After a Flight in a Premium Cabin
The second targeted American Airlines promotion is a bit rarer. You can earn a one-time pass to an American Airlines Flagship Lounge after booking and completing a premium cabin flight in March. Just be sure to register by March 31, 2025.
If your travel plans permit, this should be an easy offer to take advantage of. However, Flagship Lounges are only available in Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), and Miami (MIA). Unless you plan to pass through one of these airports within 90 days of receiving the pass, it may not be worth going out of your way to book a more expensive ticket.
