Cardmembers of The Platinum Card® from American Express receive a variety of statement credits, including a $12.95 credit for a monthly Walmart+ membership. To receive the credit, all you need to do is enroll in the benefit and pay for your Walmart+ membership with your card.
While Walmart might not be the brand you most associate with the Amex Platinum, cardmembers have other reasons to take advantage of this Walmart+ subscription — including getting discounts at over thousands of gas stations.
You can also activate your choice of streaming service: Paramount+ or Peacock. Choose to activate a free Paramount+ Essential subscription to stream over 40,000 TV episodes — including shows like Seal Team, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Big Brother, and Survivor — choose from a long list of movies, or keep up with the NFL on CBS and the UEFA Champions League soccer.
Or, select a Peacock Premium subscription to watch your favorite shows from NBC or Bravo, enjoy live sports and events, or stream a variety of hit films and Peacock originals. Paramount+ and Peacock subscriptions are both ad-supported, and you can switch between the two after 90 days.

How Amex Platinum Cardmembers Can Claim a Free Streaming Service Subscription
To sign up for your free streaming service subscription via the Amex Platinum, log into your Walmart+ account and find the “New Benefit: Video Streaming Choice” offer under the “Walmart+” section.
Once there, you can click “learn more” to be taken to the video streaming choice page where you can make your selection.
Then, you are able to choose between Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium.
Once you select either Paramount+ or Peacock Premium and hit “sign me up,” you'll be redirected to your chosen provider to activate your subscription.
To verify that your accounts are linked, you can log into your Paramount+ account or your Peacock account. You should see “Your Paramount+ plan is through Walmart” in the subscription and billing section.
A Paramount+ Essential membership currently costs $7.99 per month, while a Peacock Premium membership costs $10.99 per month. By taking advantage of this perk of Walmart+, you're getting even more value from your Amex Platinum.
Get a Free Walmart+ Subscription With the Amex Platinum
The Amex Platinum offers cardmembers a credit of up to $12.95 plus applicable local sales tax each month to cover the cost of a Walmart+ membership. Plus Ups not eligible. Walmart+ includes things like free shipping and delivery, plus free streaming services.
Walmart+ continues to improve its offerings and is gaining ground on Amazon as a similar service. With Walmart+ you can even save up to 10 cents a gallon at Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, and Murphy gas stations. You will need to sign up for Walmart+ to receive the Paramount+ benefit. Bottom Line
The Amex Platinum‘s $895 annual fee (Rates & Fees) is a steep price to pay, but the card is loaded with perks. And some of those perks offer their own perks — like a free Paramount+ or Peacock Premium subscription from your Walmart+ membership!
While up to a $10.99/month subscription probably isn't going to move the needle for many cardholders, it's a nice perk to take advantage of nonetheless.
