Cardmembers of The Platinum Card® from American Express can effectively get a free Walmart+ membership. Just enroll in this benefit and pay for your Walmart+ membership with the Amex Platinum to receive a statement credit offsetting the monthly cost.
While Walmart might not be the brand you most associate with the Amex Platinum, cardmembers have other reasons to take advantage of this Walmart+ subscription — including getting discounts at over 14,000 gas stations and a free Paramount+ Essential subscription.
You can use this free Paramount+ subscription to stream over 40,000 TV episodes — including shows like Seal Team, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Big Brother, and Survivor — choose from a long list of movies, or keep up with the NFL on CBS and the UEFA Champions League soccer.
At current subscription rates, you'll save $7.99/month by activating this included benefit of Walmart+. Alternatively, you can get 50% off a Paramount+ with Showtime package — dropping the price to $5.49 per month.

How Amex Platinum Cardmembers Can Claim a Free Paramount+ Subscription
To sign up for your free Paramount+ subscription, log into your Walmart+ account and find the “Paramount+ with Showtime” offer under the “Walmart+” section.

Once there, you'll be able to choose between Paramount+ with Showtime or the Paramount+ Essential package.

Using the Paramount+ Essential plan requires a separate registration. If you don't already have a Paramount+ account, you'll be prompted to create a new one. Otherwise, log into your Paramount+ account to link your accounts and start enjoying your free Paramount+ subscription.
To verify that your accounts are linked, you can log into your Paramount+ account. You should see “Your Paramount+ plan is through Walmart” in the subscription and billing section.

Get a Free Walmart+ Subscription With the Amex Platinum
The Amex Platinum offers cardmembers a $12.95 credit (plus taxes) each month to cover the cost of a Walmart+ membership. Walmart+ includes things like free shipping and delivery, plus free streaming services.
Walmart+ continues to improve its offerings and is gaining ground on Amazon as a similar service. With Walmart+ you can even save up to 10 cents a gallon at Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, and Murphy gas stations. You will need to sign up for Walmart+ to receive the Paramount+ benefit. The Amex Platinum‘s $695 annual fee (Rates & Fees) is a steep price to pay, but the card is loaded with perks. And some of those perks offer their own perks — like a free Paramount+ subscription from your Walmart+ membership!
