ANA Mileage Club is out with a new award sale, making some of the cheapest round-trip awards to Japan even cheaper. For a limited time, you can book select routes in economy — such as between Tokyo-Narita (NRT) and Honolulu (HNL) — for 50% fewer Mileage Club miles.
Here are the details on this ANA Mileage Club award sale.
ANA Mileage Club 50% Off Award Sale
Through December 20, 2024, ANA is offering discounted pricing on eligible flights in economy class from Tokyo (Haneda and Narita) to Honolulu, Sydney, Paris, Milan, Singapore, and more.

Of these, our majority-U.S.-based readers will likely flight the route between Honolulu and Tokyo Narita (NRT) of particular interest. After this 50% discount, round-trip awards between Hawaii and Tokyo start at just 17,500 miles plus taxes and fees:

There are a couple of caveats to this award sale. You must book a round-trip ticket, and only four flight numbers are eligible (NH181, NH182, NH183, and NH184).
It's also worth noting that ANA's high, low, and regular season pricing applies. Thus, your final award rate will depend on when you choose to fly.

But make no mistake — this is an incredible deal. It's not very often that you can fly between the United States and Japan for as few as 17,500 miles one way, much less round-trip. Better yet, the travel window for Hawaii flights is open until May 31, 2025, so you have a wide range of dates to choose between.
If, instead, you want to fly ANA between Japan and Europe, Oceania, or Southeast Asia, the travel window will vary depending on your destination. But most extend through the first half of 2025.

How To Earn ANA Mileage Club Miles
If you're short on ANA Mileage Club miles, transferring points from American Express is the fastest way to fill your account to book a discounted award. Amex Membership Rewards transfer to ANA at a 1:1 ratio and will generally appear in your account within 24 hours.
Alternatively, you can convert several flavors of hotel points into Mileage Club miles, but poor transfer ratios make this a subpar option. The one exception is Marriott Bonvoy; you can transfer Marriott points to ANA at a 3:1 ratio and collect a 5,000-mile bonus for every 60,000 points you transfer. However, it can take up to a week for Marriott to process your transfer to ANA, so keep this in mind before you start your transfer; you could miss this award sale entirely.
