Ashley Onadele got into points and miles for the first time as a graduate student studying Spanish and hoping to see the world for “free” or whatever that meant at the time. Her first few redemptions included the Hyatt Regency in Phuket Resort in Thailand and the Wailea Beach Resort in Maui.

Fast forward a decade later and she now travels almost exclusively with her husband and two children to as many places as their points and miles will take them. Using a combination of points, miles, and cash, they’ve spent spring break in Italy, enjoyed time in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving in New Orleans.
