Best Western Hotels is currently offering several good hotel promotions for Best Western Rewards members. Lufthansa Miles & More members can earn 2,500 bonus miles per Best Western stay in Europe. In several regions around the world, members can earn 5,000 bonus points every two nights for paid stays. And in North America, members can earn double or triple points on stays.

Here's a look at the current Best Western promotions and how to take advantage of them.

2,500 Bonus Miles & More Miles per Stay in Europe

Best Western Lufthansa Promotion for bonus miles in Europe

Best Western members who have chosen to earn Lufthansa miles — instead of Best Western points — currently have a promotion in Europe. Through December 31, 2023, members will earn 2,500 bonus Miles & More miles on each stay; that's on top of the regular 500 miles, providing a total of 3,000 miles.

Members must register for this promotion before booking their first stay. No stipulation is given for how long the stay must be, so it can be assumed a single night counts. However, consecutive nights at the same hotel will count as one stay, even if you check out and check in again.

Hotels in the following countries are participating in this promotion:

  • Austria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Luxembourg
  • Slovenia
  • Switzerland

[Expired] 5,000 Bonus Points Every 2 Nights

Members who book a stay at any Best Western property in the U.S., Canada, or the Caribbean can earn 5,000 bonus points every two nights, up to a maximum of 20,000 bonus points. Valid stay dates are between September 18 and November 20, 2023.

There are several versions of this promotion, though. There's a chance they all may be targeted. But each promotion has the same dates, bonus points, and other terms and conditions. Only the destination or hotel brand vary. Here are some examples:

  • North American hotels (U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean): Use promo code FALL23
  • AARP members staying at hotels in North America: Use promo code RPFALL23
  • WorldHotel stays globally: Use promo code WHRFALL23
  • Hotels in the Middle East and Turkey: Use promo code METURKREWRUSH323
  • Hotels in India, Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka: Use promo code INDIAREWRUSH323
  • Asian hotels: Use promo code ASIAREWRUSH323

Each offer can be claimed four times for a maximum of 20,000 bonus points. It can be assumed that each region has a cap of 20,000 bonus points. Therefore, members could potentially score significantly more points if they're traveling extensively over the next few months.

Valid stays are those booked at a rate eligible for earning bonus points. Members must not have selected to earn miles on their stays to be eligible for this promotion. Check your member dashboard to see which offers you have, and then remember to use the applicable promo code.

You can register for the U.S. promotion here.

[Expired] Double or Triple Points in North America

Best Western promotion banner for 2x or 3x points

You can earn double or triple points on stays in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean through November 20, 2023. You need to register here before your first stay. The number of points you'll earn depends on the day you check out from your hotel. If you check out on Saturday or Sunday, you'll earn double points. Checking out on any other day will award triple points.

Double Points in Europe

Best Western double points in Europe promotion

Earn double points on stays through December 3, 2023, with this promotion. Eligible stays are in Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

Our Take

Best Western Rewards points are valued from a base level of 0.5 cents per point up to 1 cent apiece on redemptions, but this depends on how you redeem them. That means the 5,000-point rebate is only worth about $25 to $50. That's not a game-changing value, but it's a nice bonus if you're planning to stay at Best Western anyway. And triple points can really add up, depending on how long you stay.

Will any Best Western promotions fit into your travel plans? If so, how do you plan to maximize them? If you have different versions of targeted offers, please let us know in the comments.

  • Best Western is an under-rated program. BW isn’t really a chain. All BW properties are individually owned and operated. BW just acts as the marketing and reservation service for the properties. Where BW really shines, is in the small towns and cities in Europe, that don’t have properties from the big chains. These properties can be easily reserved via BestWestern.com. BW also status matches all the big chain programs. Plus many of the accommodations in Europe are unique and less expensive than the big chains.

Many times in Europe, BW saved us money and offered nicer properties than the big chains.

    • Ryan Smith says:

John, Agree that it’s underrated. My wife and I stayed at the BW near the Grand Canyon and saved a bunch of money redeeming BW points + getting free breakfast from my status.

  • Their website indicates you must book through their website. No travel agencies. I confirmed with BW.

    • That’s right. We noted in the post: “Stays booked through an online travel agency, tour operator, or at a discounted rate are ineligible.”

  • Eduardo Queiroz says:

Best Western is a great option, but the prices charged have increased a lot

  • Best Western is a great option to travel in small stay! I like i very much and have great deals with advance reserved

  • Jorge Fabian Gonzalez says:

Although this promotion is not valid for Argentina , it worth chosing a Best Western for staying due to price/quality balance.

  • Always appreciate the chance to get a few extra points than normal, nice bonus from best western!

  • When you are in a town where the bigger chains aren’t nearby, staying at a Best Western isn’t too bad. Easy way to pick up some extra points.

  • Considering the fact that the points Best Western are almost useless I don’t think this promotion will have a lot of attention.

  • I have two BW stays coming up that are a day apart. I wonder if the GC will show up electronically in time for me to use it for the second stay

  • Always sign up for every BW bonus regardless of your plans: I’ve found that they often don’t strictly start & end on the stated dates.

  • Good deal, but not very useful is you are not in the US, Canada or the Caribbean.

  • Good deal, but not very useful if you’re not in the US, Canada, Caribbean.

  • Vaneet Aggarwal says:

This is good if you are going to BestWestern

  • That expiration date is way too soon to entice people to stay at one of their properties over another brand’s. Okay bonus if you’re already planning a stay with them.

  • .. perfect to stack this offer with the Rakuten offer.

  • A plus with BW Rewards is that points don’t expire,

  • I need to look more fully into Best Western. Now might be the time ?

  • Does Best Western have a different brand name for its higher-end properties?

  • I’ve signed up. Nice to get more value out of stays I’d do anyway. The one problem with the gift cards is that they expire only a few months after they are issued so they need to be used very quickly. No problem for frequent travelers but not great for those who only travel once per year.
