Bilt Rewards just announced some exciting news. It's adding its third hotel transfer partner: Marriott Bonvoy. This addition marks Bilt Rewards' 15th transfer partner.
Bilt Rewards' continued additions of transfer partners and new award availability tools make it even more appealing for renters looking for ways to reward themselves for making rent payments. Here's what the new Bilt-Marriott partnership means for Bilt Rewards.
Marriott Bonvoy Added as a Bilt Rewards Hotel Transfer Partner
If you've got a stash of Bilt Rewards points and have your eye on a specific Marriott Bonvoy redemption, you're in luck. You now have another way to book a stay at one of Marriott's global portfolio of 8,500+ properties using transferable points.
Starting today, you can transfer your Bilt Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio. Even better, you'll receive a 5,000-point bonus for every 20,000 Bilt points you transfer to Marriott Bonvoy. That means a transfer of 20,000 Bilt points will net 25,000 total Bonvoy points.
And once you link your Bilt and Marriott Bonvoy accounts in the Bilt Rewards app, you're in for another surprise. Just for linking, Bilt members will earn 100 Bilt points.
Bilt mentions that point transfers to Marriott can take up to 48 hours to complete. However, most transfers should process nearly instantly.

Marriott will be added to Bilt's Awayz search tool
Bilt's in-app hotel award search tool will also get an update to adjust for the new transfer partner. Marriott hotels will be visible when you run searches within the app. This is a nice time-saving feature when searching for award stays, especially now that Bilt has three hotel transfer partners.
Bilt Rewards members can run 50 complimentary hotel award searches per calendar month through the Bilt app. To start searching for hotels, open the app, click on the “Travel” tab, select the “Hotels” category, and select the “Transfer Partners” option. Enter your destination and dates, and start scrolling the options.

Using Marriott Bonvoy Points
With over 30 unique brands and thousands of properties across the globe, there's a Marriott property out there for all budgets. Whether you want to stay at one of the best luxury Marriott redemptions or prefer to redeem fewer points for one of the best budget-friendly Marriott redemptions, Bonvoy points can go pretty far — and they're now even easier to earn.
Award nights at Marriott hotels are priced dynamically, which means the number of Bonvoy points you need for a particular award night varies depending on various factors. If you're flexible with the dates you travel and the property you stay at, there's a much better chance your points will go further.
Using a tool such as the Awayz search engine (via the Bilt Rewards app) will provide a lot of clarity on award night costs, as you'll be able to see a calendar view of award night prices over a few months.
How to Earn Bilt Rewards Points
Travelers have two primary ways to earn Bilt Rewards points: paying rent and spending on The Bilt Mastercard®
To get the most out of the Bilt Rewards program, it makes the most sense to carry the Bilt Mastercard. Renters can earn Bilt Rewards points without the Bilt Mastercard but will find themselves limited to earning just 250 Bilt points per month — the same amount as those who have the card but don't use it to make at least five purchases per statement period.
If you make at least five transactions per statement period, you'll earn Bilt Rewards points at the following rates:
- 1x points on rent payments made through the Bilt App — up to 100,000 points per calendar year.
- 2x points on travel.
- 3x points on dining.
- 1x on all other purchases with no cap on earnings.
The card has no annual fee. You also won't pay fees for paying your rent through the Bilt App (this perk alone can justify holding the card long term) — even if your landlord isn't part of the Bilt Rewards Alliance network.

Bottom Line
Bilt's addition of Marriott Bonvoy as a new transfer partner opens the door to yet another use of Bilt Rewards for your next award hotel booking.
The number of ways you can now use Bilt Rewards points seems endless, which makes the Bilt Mastercard product hard to pass up if you want to maximize the points you earn on rent.
