Now through June 4, 2025, you can buy Copa Airlines ConnectMiles with up to an 80% bonus. This new offer allows members to buy ConnectMiles for as little as 1.67¢ each. Combining that purchase rate with Copa's appealing partner award chart can score some excellent deals when buying Copa miles.

A General Note on Buying Miles
As a general rule, buying points or miles isn't usually the best idea. Airlines typically sell miles at a much higher price than what they're worth. While buying miles with a bonus or discount can provide better value, it doesn't always mean it's your best option.
However, there are exceptions to almost every rule. For instance, if you're looking to top up your balance to make a sweet redemption, a miles sale can make a lot of sense. Buying miles can also save you money if the cost of buying the miles for a redemption is cheaper than the cash price of the ticket.

Terms for Buying Copa ConnectMiles With This Bonus
- This promotion is valid through 11:59 p.m. EST on June 4, 2025.
- Purchases of ConnectMiles are non-refundable.
- Purchased miles will be credited to your account within 48 hours.
- Purchased ConnectMiles will not count toward qualification for PreferMember status.
- ConnectMiles members can purchase up to 100,000 miles per transaction (before the bonus).
- ConnectMiles members can purchase a maximum of 2,000,000 miles per calendar year.
- Miles will expire on the last day of the 24th month after the last qualifying account activity in the member’s account.

Per the terms and conditions, miles will be deposited within 48 hours of purchase. However, data points from AwardWallet users show that miles purchases are typically processed immediately.
Promotion tiers
This promotion has four tiers, with three of them offering a bonus. Here is how the tiers break down:
- 1,000–2,000 miles: No bonus (3¢ per mile)
- 3,000–9,000 miles: 60% bonus (1.88¢ per mile)
- 10,000–14,000 miles: 70% bonus (1.76¢ per mile)
- 15,000–100,000 miles: 80% bonus (1.67¢ per mile)
When maximized, you can purchase 160,000 miles for $3,000, which comes out to 1.67¢ per mile.
How Many ConnectMiles Do I Need for an Award Flight?

One nice thing about Copa Airlines is that the cost of award flights is based on a charted system. Although this means you can't find cheaper award pricing on specific dates, it does mean things remain consistent. You'll know what to expect when redeeming your ConnectMiles for award travel.
If you're looking to travel on Copa Airlines, you have two options: Saver Awards and Standard Awards.
Depending on where and when you're flying, determining how many miles it will cost for an award flight requires nothing more than looking at Copa's award charts:

However, just because a number shows on the chart doesn't mean an award flight will be available for that amount on a certain date. You should always check to see which day and time is open for booking at the best possible redemption level.

ConnectMiles redemptions on Star Alliance partners
But it's worth noting that redeeming your ConnectMiles on Copa flights won't always provide the best value. This is especially true since it uses a fixed-chart system, and cash prices can be cheap. But one great thing about Copa Airlines is its membership in Star Alliance.
Using ConnectMiles on other Star Alliance award flights can provide way more value, depending on your departure and arrival destinations.

Panama–Santiago in Copa Airlines business class
Chile is a country that goes under a lot of people's radar — even though it shouldn't. With some of the most amazing vineyards the world has to offer in the north and Patagonia's stunning beauty to the south, Chile is a must-visit for enthusiasts of South America. And for only 40,000 miles in business class, this 6.5-hour flight provides a decent bang for your buck.

Chicago–Sao Paulo in Copa Airlines business class
If experiencing Carnival in Brazil sits atop your must-do list, then getting down there this spring is both accessible and affordable. While the trip is not as long as a route to Asia, it's still long enough to be worthy of business-class consideration. And at only 55,000 ConnectMiles, you can get down south to enjoy some sun, samba, and soccer at a very reasonable rate.
Copa has a solid business class, but it's certainly not on the same level as an airline like EVA, ANA, or Singapore. Having said that, it will still be a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Speaking of long hauls, this flight from New York to Cape Town has two stopovers and three flights in total. And Ethiopian Airlines has a commendable business-class cabin, so this flight won't be too arduous. Cape Town is a magical place, where you can hike up Table Mountain, dive with great white sharks, and visit some of the best wine vineyards in the world.

At just over five hours, you can take this Copa Airlines “red-eye” flight down to the Central American nation of Panama for just 30,000 ConnectMiles.
But just be aware that there is a chance the seats in business class on this route won't lie flat or be on the same level as some of the other examples in this post. Still, for a small chunk of ConnectMiles, you can visit Panama for a holiday or use it as a springboard to the rest of Central and South America. Just make sure to always do your homework first before booking anything!

Other Ways To Earn Copa ConnectMiles
Instead of buying Copa ConnectMiles, you can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to Copa. Points transfer from Marriott to Copa at a 3:1 ratio, plus you receive 5,000 bonus ConnectMiles for each 60,000 Bonvoy points transferred in one transaction. Thus, sending 60,000 Marriott points results in 25,000 ConnectMiles. On average, transfers from Marriott to Copa take three days.
This means any credit card earning Marriott Bonvoy points can be a source of earning Copa ConnectMiles. This includes everyday spending and welcome bonuses from cards like Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card.

Bottom Line
Copa Airlines is coming out with more regular deals — which is good to see. This promotion to buy Copa ConnectMiles is one of the better rates we've seen from the Panamanian airline.
Copa's chart system makes redeeming miles easy, but it definitely doesn't present the best value to ConnectMiles members. But if you use their system to search for award availability, you can certainly find some good deals if you plan far enough in advance.
If you're right on the cusp of an expensive redemption, this promotion could provide the last little push you need. This promotion to buy ConnectMiles for just 1.67¢ each is valid through June 4, 2025. If you're unable to boost your Copa account by transferring Marriott points, then buying ConnectMiles to top up your balance could make sense.
