What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas — unless it’s an airport lounge worth talking about. Capital One’s newest lounge at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is an oasis in the desert — somewhere that blends thoughtful design with plenty of local flair.
AwardWallet was given an early look inside, and this walkthrough will give you a bird’s-eye view of what we saw and learned about the Capital One Lounge at LAS.

A Lounge With a View — And Plenty of Vegas Flair
The lounge sits in Terminal 1, Concourse D, on Level 2. If you’re coming up from security or another terminal, ride the big escalator and take a right under the iconic “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign — or a left if you're facing it head-on to take a picture to commemorate your trip.

And since it’s Vegas, you're never too far from a slot machine. If you have to join the lounge's digital waitlist, you can try your luck before stepping inside.
Once admitted, you'll notice the lounge's design combines modern luxury with natural elements, including a preserved Palo Verde tree and greenery spread throughout.

Unlike many airport lounges, this one feels warm and inviting.

The lounge also features floor-to-ceiling windows with an incredible view of the Las Vegas skyline and the airport's tarmac. Time your visit right, and you’ll catch an unbeatable glimpse of the sunset.

Who Can Enter the Capital One Lounge in Las Vegas?
The lounge is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, though these hours will be temporary for a few weeks. After that, the hours will expand, and the lounge will be open daily from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders get complimentary access to Capital One airport lounges and can bring two guests at no charge. Additional guests cost $45, but kids under two get in free.

Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business cardholders can enter for $45, while non-cardholders can purchase a day pass for $90.
As with other Capital One Lounges, you can enter up to three hours before your flight.

A Spacious and Tech-Driven Experience
At 8,200 square feet, the lounge isn't Capital One's biggest outpost. But high (and reflective) ceilings, long hallways, curvature, and plenty of space to spread out make it seem massive.

Seating is arranged to give everyone options, whether you want to work, relax, or have a meal.

And power outlets are everywhere. If you need to charge a device, you won’t have to search hard for an outlet — they’re at nearly every seat, table, or workspace.

Capital One also relies on a digital waitlist through its app to help manage crowds during high demand. And so far, it’s working. Travelers don’t seem to have many of the typical complaints about overcrowding, unlike some airport lounges.

Food and Beverage: Something for Everyone
The dining program here isn’t just an afterthought. There’s a grab-and-go section with sandwiches, fresh salads, and baked goods that rotate throughout the day.

If you have time to sit, the small plate offerings include falafel and hummus bowls, caviar deviled eggs, a standout chili crisp sweet potato hash, and a lot more.

The bar program is a highlight. The Green Scotch Bonnet Chili Bloody Mary, made with craft chili pepper vodka, is exclusive to this lounge and packs a punch.

Gin more your thing? There’s a frozen gin cocktail from the well-known Herbs & Rye, plus a Vienna Lager from Las Vegas Brewing Company, brewed just for the Capital One “Perfect Airport Beer” program.

If you want to splurge, the Rare Bottle Club offers pours of hard-to-find bourbons, prohibition-era gins, and vintage wines.
Everything About the Capital One Lounge Is Intentional
Capital One representatives explained the intentional design of the lounge. More than 35 large-scale art pieces from local artists line the walls, depicting everything from desert visuals to an ultra-close-up of the infamous Las Vegas sign.

The collection is intended to capture the beauty of the Mojave Desert and Las Vegas' electric nightlife. The light fixture above the bar does the same; it's intended to harness the glitz and glam of the city's brightest lights — and it's hard not to notice.

Even the seating and lighting were chosen with purpose. The space shifts throughout the day, with lighting that transitions from bright in the morning to a softer glow at night. It’s subtle but makes a difference.

No Showers or Nursing Rooms, but Plenty of Comfort
Unlike other lounges in the Capital One network, this one doesn’t have showers or dedicated nursing rooms. But what it lacks there, it makes up for in atmosphere, food, and design.

With Capital One's tech-forward approach to managing crowds, you’ll hopefully won't feel you're competing for space, even during peak hours.
Final Thoughts
The Capital One Lounge at LAS doesn’t just check the usual boxes of an airport lounge. The views are unbeatable, the food and drink are unique, and the vibe makes it a spot worth going out of your way to visit. It's more than clear that Capital One is deeply invested in the airport experience — and this lounge is a testament to that.
Plus, Capital One’s lounge network is expanding fast, with locations already open at Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington Dulles, and Denver, plus a Capital One Landing Lounge in Washington National Airport. If you travel through these destinations often, the Capital One Venture X surely deserves your attention.
