In 2022, Capital One partnered with MLB to offer baseball tickets through its Capital One Entertainment portal. In AwardWallet testing, tickets only offered a poor redemption rate of just 0.8¢ per mile — with one big exception. Capital One offers a limited number of infield MLB tickets for just 5,000 miles each. And a new batch of these tickets was just released for games throughout June and July 2025.
If you're a baseball fan — or just a fan of a great deal — you'll want to act quickly to scoop up these tickets before they're gone. Here's how to do so.

How To Get Cheap MLB Tickets Through Capital One Entertainment
Capital One's Entertainment Portal offers cardholder-exclusive tickets as part of partnerships it has with MLB and NCAA basketball. As you might expect from “cardholder exclusives,” you will need to be a Capital One cardholder to snag these deals.
As part of its partnership with MLB, Capital One seems to have secured a block of four infield seats for nearly every MLB home game. While the exact location varies by team, these tickets are generally located just a few rows behind one of the dugouts. And Capital One offers these tickets to cardholders for just 5,000 Capital One miles each.

How Much Are 5,000 Capital One Miles Worth?
The value you can get from Capital One miles depends on how you redeem them. At a bare minimum, you should get 1¢ per point from Capital One mileage redemptions — such as redemptions for travel purchases. At this baseline rate, 5,000 Capital One miles would be worth $50.
However, you can get a lot more value through Capital One's airline and hotel transfer partners. In recent redemptions, AwardWallet users have redeemed Capital One miles for an average of 2¢ per mile.
That's a bit inflated by the high-value business-class redemptions you can get through transfer partners. If you only consider economy bookings, the average is around 1.5¢ per mile in value. At that rate, 5,000 Capital One miles are worth around $75.
Not a Capital One Cardholder?
If you don't already have a Capital One credit card, you probably won't be able to sign up in time for this ticket drop. However, you can get a Capital One card to be ready the next time Capital One releases more 5,000-mile MLB tickets.
For a $0-annual-fee card, you can't beat the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card. The card is currently offering a 20,000-mile bonus once you spend $500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening. That bonus alone would get you four MLB tickets at 5,000 miles each!
- Earn 20,000 Miles once you spend $500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening; worth $200 in travel if redeemed for a fixed-value, or potentially much more when transferred to airline partners
- 1.25 Miles on every purchase
- 0% intro APR on purchases for 15 months; 19.24% - 29.24% variable APR after that
- No foreign transaction fees

- 5 Miles per dollar on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
- 5 Miles per dollar on purchases through Capital One Entertainment (through 12/31/2025)

Plus, eligible new cardholders can earn a bonus of 75,000 bonus miles when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
- 10X miles per $1 on hotels and rental cars booked via Capital One Travel

Bottom Line
The cardholder-exclusive tickets available through Capital One Entertainment can be a great way to score a deal. Tickets to MLB games for 5,000 miles could be a solid option, even if the tickets were in the upper decks. But the ability to score infield MLB tickets throughout June and July 2025 for just 5,000 Capital One miles is a deal that won't last for long.
