Priority Pass is a membership program that allows cardholders entrance to a network of airport lounges all over the world. There's also a subset of airport restaurant locations where cardholders can get access to a free or discounted meal for you and your guests.

Depending on when you applied, Capital One Venture X Business cardholders have access to this benefit. But according to an email to cardholders this week, this benefit is going away in just over a month.

This follows an unfortunate trend of non-lounge access being removed from other cards including the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card personal card as of recently.

Capital One Venture X Business Email

I was scrolling through my emails and almost skipped over this one from Capital One, but the title of the email “Important notice regarding Priority Pass Select memberships” caught my eye. Below is the full email from Capital One:

Capital One is dedicated to delivering a best-in-class airport lounge experience, and Venture X Business customers will continue to enjoy a Priority Pass Select membership at no additional cost for the primary cardholder. However, the process to enroll in and manage your Priority Pass Select membership is changing. Please review the changes below and take a moment to enroll in Priority Pass Select to ensure you’re prepared for your next flight.

On Oct. 31, 2025, current Priority Pass Select memberships will expire. Please take a moment to enroll in Priority Pass Select through the Capital One Mobile app to begin your new Priority Pass Select membership.

This expiration will occur for all Venture X Business Mastercard customers, regardless of the expiration date listed on your physical or digital Priority Pass membership card.

As part of this change, Venture X Business customers will no longer have access to non-lounge airport experiences through their Priority Pass Select membership.

There are no limits to the number of times you may use your Priority Pass Select membership for your complimentary lounge visits as the primary cardholder.

Venture X Business primary cardholders will continue to receive complimentary access for two guests at Priority Pass lounges. Primary cardholders will also be able to bring more than two guests into Priority Pass lounges at a rate of $35 for each additional guest per visit.*

What This Means for Current Cardholders

If you're currently holding a Priority Pass card received from the Capital One Venture X Business, regardless of the expiration date on the front of the card, it's going to stop working as of October 31st. In my case, the expiration date on my card is February 28, 2026, so as of November 1st I won't have access to use this card anymore. It should still work at non-lounge locations up until that point, and since I've got travel planned for Halloween, I'll use it for the last time on that trip.

When you sign up via the Capital One app or website, you'll be re-enrolled and sent a new card with a new expiration date. This new Priority Pass Select membership will only have access to lounge locations, and the non-lounge locations will be removed from the list of eligible locations in the Priority Pass App.

Which Cards Still Have Restaurant Access?

If you're a heavy user of non-lounge locations, never fear. There are still a variety of cards available for new applications that offer you airport non-lounge access. Some of them might not be unlimited like the Venture X Business, but you won't be left hungry on your next trip.

We've compiled a list of those cards that still have access, along with a list of airports that have these restaurant locations, so if it's important to you, make sure to have one of those cards in your wallet.

Bottom Line

Capital One is removing access to restaurants for Priority Pass memberships received through the Venture X Business. If you have an existing membership, you'll be able to use it for unlimited visits until October 31st, and you'll need to sign up for a new membership to continue using the Priority Pass benefit moving forward.
