Our Take

JetBlue points aren't the most valuable airline rewards available. However, JetBlue stands out by making it simple to turn your rewards into travel. JetBlue TrueBlue points do not expire and this expiration policy is one of the many reasons to like the TrueBlue program. TrueBlue members have one less thing to worry about, knowing that their points are safe as long as they keep their frequent-flyer account open.

I like the fact that JetBlue points don’t expire. With my wife and I doing personal and business app’s we were able to grow our accounts by 400K (remember, you can pool miles) miles, so we’ll be close to a half million miles once the last bonus posts.
I like thinking forward and looking at the current airline landscape, I think JB is ripe for a merger and all those miles would combine with another program and possibly more spending power. It’s just speculation but fun to think about all the possibilities today, both hotels and airlines.

Even though there is a good expiration policy the big disadvantage is that Jet Blue is absent from big alliances

And, the second big disadvantage is it simply does not have a large footprint. If a frequent flier is located in the wrong home city, JetBlue isn’t even a consideration, unfortunately.

This is a great program. jetBlue has been generous for many years. The family pooling is also a very valuable part of their program! Have had great experiences flying JetBlue in and out of JFK in particular.

Can’t wait till Jet Blue expands to Canada! No expiry policy will make it real attractive.

Sería bueno que otras compañías como American utilizarán la misma política en cuanto a la caducidad de las millas o puntos.

I have enjoyed flying Jet Blue in the past. The lack of expiration of points is a really good feature. At least some other companies have deferred expiration of their programmes’ points during the pandemic though.

Long May it stay this way! Any frequent flyer programme with a miles expiration is a no for me

It is great that JetBlue has no expiry, but to be fair expiry dates are palatable, as long as they are lengthy and can be extended by some activity. The worst ones are those that expire a fixed period after earning regardless of any activity – I have no interest in collecting in those programs.

JetBlue seem to have some interesting airline partners, but I just can’t get excited about collecting points in an airline that isn’t part of one of the main alliances. The fact that the points don’t expire is good though.

No expiration and the pooling feature are both very useful for the three family member accounts I manage. If only the points were worth a little more, I might get to redeem them one day…

Wowww headline scared me I thought they had made changes to their frequent flyer program.

Jet Blue is a great program, just wish the had a larger footprint.
