As you start planning upcoming travel, we want to revisit one of the best ways to double-dip on travel purchases. British Airways Club members can earn Avios on all Airbnb bookings. You can earn 2 Avios per £1 / $1 / €1 spent — whether you're booking a stay or Airbnb Experiences.
Key Terms
- Airbnb stays: Earn 2 Avios per £1 / $1 / €1 spent.
- Airbnb Experiences: Earn 2 Avios per £1 / $1 / €1 spent.
- Bookings must be made through the dedicated British Airways Airbnb page.
- You need to enter your British Airways Club number when making a booking.
- You must have cookies enabled, and the booking needs to be completed in one session.
- Allow up to 60 days for the earned Avios to post to your British Airways account.
- You'll earn Avios but not tier points, and “Avios award will be based on USD value.”
- Missing Avios claims must be submitted via email to missingaviosairbnb@ba.com within six months of the completed stay.
If you're a regular Airbnb user, then this link-up can be very lucrative.
How To Earn Avios on Airbnb Stays and Experiences
Making an Airbnb booking that is eligible to earn Avios is easy:
- Make sure cookies are enabled on your browser.
- Head over to the Airbnb affiliate page and enter your British Airways Club number.
- You'll be taken to the Airbnb site, where you can search for accommodation and make your booking.
Avios Transfer Partners
In addition to earning Avios from Airbnb stays, you can top off your British Airways Club account by transferring points from multiple transfer partners.
You also can transfer Avios freely and instantly between British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Qatar Airways.
That means earning any of the above currencies can be an indirect way to earn British Airways Avios.

Our Take
This relationship is a great bonus for Airbnb users who want to boost their Avios balance in between flights. In addition to earning bonus Avios from this partnership, you'll also earn a credit card spending category bonus when you pay for your booking — assuming you use a credit card with bonus points for travel purchases.
If you pay with the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (Rates & Fees), you will still earn 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent (after exhausting the card's $300 yearly travel credit). That's in addition to the 2X Avios from the Airbnb–British Airways partnership. If you are into Avios, you can transfer those Ultimate Rewards to British Airways to effectively earn 5 Avios per $1 spent on Airbnb stays. That's a great deal for those that know how to maximize British Airways Avios.
