As only happens a couple of times per year, all five airlines have launched a promotion this month. The theme for this round is Back-to-School offers. If members maximize all five promotions, they can earn a total of 11,500 bonus points. All five promotions are relatively similar, with three tiers and end dates between August 8 and August 10.
Alaska Atmos Shopping
The Alaska shopping portal Back-to-School promotion offers Atmos members up to 2,000 bonus points after reaching a spending threshold on eligible purchases in the Atmos Shopping portal through August 10, 2026.
- Spend $150 and earn 300 bonus points (2X bonus rewards)
- Spend $400 and earn 1,000 bonus points (2.5X bonus rewards)

American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping
The new American Airlines shopping portal promotion offers AAdvantage members up to 2,500 bonus miles after reaching a spending threshold on eligible purchases in the AAdvantage eShopping portal through August 8, 2026.
- Spend $200 and earn 400 bonus miles (2X bonus rewards)
- Spend $600 and earn 1,000 bonus miles (1.7X bonus rewards)

- The American Airlines promotion ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on August 8, 2026. The United promotion ends on August 9, and the Alaska, Delta, and Southwest promotions all end on August 10.
- Qualifying purchases exclude returns, cancellations, shipping, taxes, gift cards, and certain ineligible products.
- Allow up to 10 weeks after the promotion ends for bonus points/miles to post.

It's rare that all five airlines have simultaneous shopping portal promotions. This month, members can earn a maximum of 11,500 bonus points and miles, although that would require $3,650 in eligible spending.
The two airlines with the best rewards this round are Southwest and United, offering up to 5X rewards. On the other hand, American Airlines offers the lowest-value rewards and requires the most spending. However, the rewards are dependent on how you value your points and miles.
