With the original announcement of a partnership between Hilton and AutoCamp earlier this year, we really weren't sure what to expect. And details available at the time were a bit thin. How would you redeem points for these stays, and what would rates look like? And what about earning rates?
To be clear, many of those questions remain, but we're making progress. You can now book every AutoCamp location via Hilton's website (though reservation dates aren't available until October for some properties). To be clear, the full integration still has work to be done. However, you'll be able to earn some points on this stay and enjoy elite benefits based on your Hilton Honors elite status. Here's the latest.
Hilton Honors Benefits at AutoCamp Locations
Hilton Honors members can now book AutoCamp locations via the Hilton website and mobile app. Properties include suites, luxury tents, and cabins. The suites feature the custom-designed silver Airstreams that you probably picture when you think of AutoCamp.
Locations like the one at Cape Cod also feature a two-story Clubhouse with 8,100 square feet of communal space and fire pits to keep you warm at night.

With this next phase of the partnership, you can now redeem your Hilton points for AutoCamp bookings, and you earn Hilton points on your stay. However, you won't earn points on ancillary spending — such as food and drinks — just yet. To soften the blow, Hilton is offering 1,000 bonus points for all stays at AutoCamp Cape Cod completed by August 12, 2024.
You'll also enjoy some perks if you have Hilton elite status:
- Hilton Silver: Two eco-friendly waters
- Hilton Gold: One bundle of firewood per stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a space-available upgrade
- Hilton Diamond: One s’mores kit per stay, one bundle of firewood per stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a space-available upgrade
Rate Check: Cost of Booking AutoCamp Cape Cod via Hilton
Nights at AutoCamp Cape Cod start at $264 or 62,000 Hilton Honors points. Through the end of Hilton's bookable calendar for this property, you can find several nights priced at the bare minimum. However, expect to find nights starting closer to $300 (or more), or 70,000 points, come peak summer season.

The pricing above is for AutoCamp Cape Cod's cheapest accommodation; you'll stay in a luxury tent. Staying in an Airstream suite is routinely $100 more per night than a luxury tent but typically carries an identical points cost. For example, on a one-night stay in August 2024, you can reserve a tent for $364, an Airstream suite for $459, or redeem 70,000 points for either option.
In this example, Hilton points are worth 0.52¢ apiece towards the luxury tent stay and 0.65¢ apiece towards a night in an Airstream suite. AwardWallet users average 0.59¢ per point on Hilton redemptions, making one choice more valuable.
You could also redeem far more points for a premium Airstream suite. These are coded as “premium rooms,” meaning the points cost is astronomical, and the value you'll get from your points is poor. Sometimes, these cash rates aren't that much different from the regular Airstream suite, so it's worth comparing your options before you redeem 150K points (or more) for a one-night stay.
Booking through Hilton vs. booking directly through AutoCamp
If you have elite status with Hilton, booking through Hilton is a smart move. You'll earn points and can enjoy elite benefits. And most of the time, the Hilton Honors member rates are better than what you'll get on direct bookings.
For example, on the same night in August as the above example, you can book a luxury tent and pay the following prices (taxes and fees included):
- Hilton member rate: $375.42
- AutoCamp web rate: $428.04

Even by booking AutoCamp's non-refundable rate for this night, which costs an all-in $389.25, you'll still come out ahead by booking through Hilton. It's always worth comparing before making a reservation, but at first look, Hilton's pricing is superior to AutoCamp's.
Bottom Line
You can now earn and redeem Hilton points at one AutoCamp location, plus enjoy benefits based on your Hilton Honors status. That's not a leap forward, but it's a step in the right direction for the full integration of this partnership. When will the other eight AutoCamp locations start participating in Hilton? A spokesperson said that's happening “in the coming weeks.” We'll make sure to share updates whenever we know more.
