LifeMiles Hotels vs. Booking.com
Although the LifeMiles Hotels portal is associated with Booking.com, it's important to know that these are two different ways to book hotels. To take advantage of this promotion (and future LifeMiles promotions), you'll need to make your reservation through the LifeMiles Hotels portal.
The LifeMiles Hotels portal is understandably not as popular as Booking.com. Unless you are a dedicated LifeMiles member, there's a chance you didn't even know it existed. But because it's in partnership with Booking.com itself, it still gives you thousands of options that the normal Booking.com portal will also provide.
Our Take
For a limited time, you can earn up to 28k bonus LifeMiles per night for reservations made through the LifeMiles Hotel portal.
While 28k bonus LifeMiles per night might seem like a steal, you would need to book a very expensive hotel in the first place to come close to this number. You can see from our examples above, that reservations in the $150-400 range will net you 3,500-6,000 bonus LifeMiles — which comes out to 22 LifeMiles per $1 spent. This is still a solid deal if you had plans to book an upcoming hotel reservation. But just keep in mind that maximizing this promotion will in turn cost a lot of money.
Also, keep in mind that you likely won't earn toward hotel elite status or receive any status benefits you currently hold if you reserve a night at a chain hotel through this portal. Traditionally, those perks are reserved for stays booked directly with the hotel. However, for those not chasing elite status or booking an independent hotel, the extra miles you'll earn during this promotion will likely be worth it for future hotel and flight reservations.
