If you carry a Visa business credit card, you could be leaving money on the table without realizing it. That’s because Visa offers a little-known (but valuable) perk called Visa SavingsEdge — a free savings program that provides automatic cashback, travel discounts, and promo codes for business cardholders. And the best part? There’s no annual fee or complicated process to start saving.
Depending on your card and the type of purchase, you could earn cashback automatically on in-store or online purchases, receive statement credits when booking travel, or get access to instant coupons. Some offers require enrollment, while others don’t.
Let's walk you through how Visa SavingsEdge works, how to check if your card qualifies, and how to maximize every eligible purchase.

What Is Visa SavingsEdge?
Visa SavingsEdge offers eligible business credit card holders discounts with popular merchants in four different ways: In-Store Cashback, Online Cashback, Travel, and Instant Coupons.
- In-store cashback requires enrolling in the program and swiping enrolled cards.
- Online cashback works in a similar way: Click through to the merchant's site and check out with an eligible Visa business card.
- Travel requires booking through Visa SavingsEdge's booking platform and paying with your enrolled business credit card.
- Instant coupons require clicking on the “Get Discount” link on the appropriate category page, but no linked Visa card is required for these offers.
You can find all of these on the Visa SavingsEdge homepage.

Four Ways To Save With Visa SavingsEdge
Visa SavingsEdge offers multiple types of discounts: In-store cashback, online cashback, travel, and instant coupons. Each works a little differently, so let's look at their similarities and differences.
In-store cashback
Visa SavingsEdge has rolled out program changes since it launched the program, and one is in-store cashback. In-store cashback used to function like Chase Offers: You'd click on the offer to activate it for enrolled cards. Now, the offers are automatically activated on the linked cards in your account.
Categories included in in-store cashback are dining, gas stations, and retail. During my search, none of the dining offers were in my area. Confusingly, they were all for local restaurants outside of my zip code and nowhere near my billing address. Same for the gas stations, all brands nowhere near my home.

For retail partners, there was just one listed — Petco for 2% cashback. At least that's a brand I've heard of and is in my area!

Online cashback
Simply shop with an enrolled Visa business card and receive discounts from participating merchants. Credits will appear on your statement described as “Visa SavingsEdge Discount—(Merchant Name).”

Most everyday savings range from 1.5%–5%, with the occasional dollar-off offer. Current online cashback merchants include but are not limited to:
- Apple
- Canon
- Walmart
- Sears PartsDirect
- Instacart
- Stamps.com
- Office Depot
- Microsoft Advertising
Similar to the in-store offers, your card is linked to these merchants, so clicking on the links ensures you're arriving at the proper merchant page. It's not actually required to click on the link for the offers to activate the discounts.
Travel
Travel is one option that requires booking on Visa SavingsEdge's webpage. You'll need to complete all bookings in SavingsEdge's booking engine, similar to something you'd find at Chase Travel.

The webpage will list several different travel brands, with savings “up to” a certain amount. For example, if I book a rental car with Avis in their booking engine, I could save “up to 35%.”

As an example, I performed a search for Las Vegas, Nevada.

I was alarmed at the hotel prices for my chosen dates of search, but I remembered it was Spring Break. Still, a room at the Horseshoe Las Vegas would cost me $560 booking through SavingsEdge, but I should expect to receive $273 cashback.

Instant coupons
Finally, instant coupons are the final way to save using Visa SavingsEdge. For this offer to be valid, you'll need to click “get discount,” which will populate the coupon code and apply it at checkout. The page says to pay with your Visa Business card but then finishes by stating, “Instant coupon purchases do not require a linked card and do not earn cashback.”
So, you'll just see the discount reflected on the purchase page rather than on your statement after purchase.

Offers are available in several categories, including retail, advertising & marketing, telecommunications, travel, and business services. Brands with offers include, among others:
- Google Ads
- TikTok for Business
- iStock
- TaxAct
- Indeed
These offers didn't seem exclusive to the Visa SavingsEdge program but they are at least good to be aware of if you happen to be in the market for some of these goods and services.
How To Determine Eligibility and Enroll
Visa offers enrollment in SavingsEdge to Visa business debit, credit, or eligible prepaid cardholders. To confirm a business card's eligibility, simply enter the Visa card number by selecting “link your card” at the top of the homepage. If the card qualifies, you'll be able to create an account and enroll in the SavingsEdge program.

I first enrolled using my Ink Business Cash® Credit Card. Once I entered my name, email, and card number, I received a confirmation email, input the confirmation code, and clicked “continue.”

Clicking through took me to this screen, where I confirmed my name and password for my account.

After prompting me to set up security questions and accept terms and conditions, enrollment was complete. Next, I added my Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. To add more business cards, visit the “My account” tab while logged in and find “Linked cards.” There, you'll click “Add Visa Business Cards.”
Enroll up to 10 eligible Visa business cards under a single SavingsEdge account. If a card is not eligible for the SavingsEdge program, you'll see a message saying it can't be enrolled. As Visa SavingsEdge is a business platform, personal Visa cards are not eligible.
If you don't have an eligible card, here are some to consider:

- 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year
- 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year
- 1% cash back on all other card purchases with no limit to the amount you can earn

- 2x on United® purchases
- 2x on local transit and commuting — including train tickets, taxicabs, mass transit, tolls and ride share services
- 2x at gas stations, restaurants and office supply stores
- 1x on all other purchases

- Earn 26x total points per $1 spent when you stay at an IHG hotel
- 5X points per $1 spent on travel, dining, social media search engine advertising, and at office supply stores and gas stations
- 3X points per $1 spent on all other purchases
The earning for spending at IHG hotels breaks down as follows:
- Earn 10X points for charging your stay to your IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card
- Earn 6X bonus points for having IHG®Platinum Elite Status, a benefit of having this card
- Earn 10X base points for being an IHG® One Rewards Member (Being a cardholder is not required to earn this bonus for participating in the IHG® loyalty program)
Stacking Visa SavingsEdge Discounts
You should be able to stack Visa SavingsEdge discounts with other deals and spending offers. For instance, Visa SavingsEdge currently offers a $500 off Google Ads coupon code, while the Ink Preferred card I enrolled in the program earns 5x on all Google Ads spending.
Because I enrolled my card in Visa SavingsEdge, I could potentially use the coupon code to get a $500 discount when using the card for Google Ads spending. If there was a deal on the same card via Chase Offers, I'd be credited back that discount as well as a statement credit.

Bottom Line
Visa SavingsEdge is a no-cost perk that can help Visa business cardholders save money on everyday purchases — from hardware stores to ad platforms to hotel bookings. And since it works alongside your card’s existing rewards and can even stack with Chase Offers, it’s an easy way to stretch your business budget further.
If you haven’t enrolled yet, it’s worth taking a few minutes to check if your card qualifies. Once set up, Visa SavingsEdge can quietly add value to your business spending — no coupons to clip, no hoops to jump through, just straightforward savings.
