Turkish Airlines flies to several destinations across the United States and North America. That's a big deal when award availability is excellent, as there are several bookable seats from more than a dozen gateways. In other words, there's a great chance you can find an award that works for you.
You can fly from the following destinations (plus more out of Central and South America) to Turkish's hub in Istanbul (IST):
- Atlanta (ATL)
- Boston (BOS)
- Chicago (ORD)
- Dallas (DFW)
- Denver (DEN)
- Detroit (DTW)
- Houston (IAH)
- Los Angeles (LAX)
- Miami (MIA)
- Montreal (YUL)
- New York (JFK)
- San Francisco (SFO)
- Seattle (SEA)
- Toronto (YYZ)
- Vancouver (YVR)
- Washington, D.C. (IAD)

The best availability is between the end of 2024 and April 2025. You'll also find bookable seats from now until the end of the year, but the space isn't as good. But no matter what, you'll want to act fast since this space likely won't last long.
Using United's rudimentary award calendar is one way to look for availability. Itineraries that price at 88,000 MileagePlus miles (the standard partner price for Turkish awards) are ones you can book through Turkish or another partner program.

Alternatively, Seats.aero is a great resource for quickly finding bookable seats. You can search by program or all at once by clicking on “Search.”
Once you find dates that work for you, you'll have a choice of five programs to book from, making this deal incredibly accessible.
How To Book Turkish Airlines Business Class
Part of what makes this business class availability special is that there are a handful of ways to book it. You aren't limited to booking through Turkish Miles & Smiles.
The award space is also accessible via four other Star Alliance programs, making these flights to Istanbul more than accessible no matter the mileage currency (or transferable points) you're working with.
Here's a brief intro to each booking method and a snapshot of the pricing you'll find with each program:

Book via Turkish Miles & Smiles
Using Turkish Airlines's own Miles & Smiles to book the business-class award space will give you one of the best deals at 65,000 miles plus $217 for one-way itineraries — or 135,000 miles plus ~$470 for round-trip fares.

If you're light on Turkish Miles & Smiles miles, you can transfer the following currencies to book:
Book via Air Canada Aeroplan
While not the cheapest option, Air Canada Aeroplan is another angle to book Turkish Airlines award space. You'll pay between 70,000 and 90,000 Aeroplan points plus ~$60 for one-way itineraries. Pricing will depend on your flight distance.

Several points and miles currencies transfer to Aeroplan, making these awards extremely accessible:
Book via Avianca LifeMiles
Avianca LifeMiles prices Turkish Airlines awards from 63,000 LifeMiles each way with relatively low taxes and fees. However, your plans should have little chance of changing if you book through LifeMiles, as the program features some of the most restrictive change and cancelation fees — ranging upwards of $200 per ticket.

Need LifeMiles? Leverage these Avianca transfer partners to fill your account:
Book via United MileagePlus
Another comparatively pricey option, United MileagePlus will let you book Turkish business class awards from 88,000 miles one-way or 176,000 MileagePlus miles plus $50 for returns.

While it's more expensive, one of the more unheralded perks of booking via United is the waived redeposit fees for award flights. So, if your plans change, you won't be on the hook for change or cancelation penalties.
To top off your account to book, you can transfer these points and miles to MileagePlus:
Book via ANA Mileage Club
Turkish business-class awards are also bookable via ANA Mileage Club. The redemption costs are incredibly friendly at 100,000 miles plus about $470 round-trip. Do note that you can't book one-way awards through ANA. All itineraries must be round-trip.

The best way to fill up your Mileage Club account is with American Express Membership Rewards points. Outside of Marriott Bonvoy, Amex is ANA's only transfer partner for U.S residents.
Final Thoughts
There's a lot of Turkish Airlines business class award space between the carrier's gateways in North America and its hub in Istanbul (IST). Flights are bookable from just 65,000 miles, which makes this deal nearly too good to be true. As such, you'll want to act fast before the award space dries up.
