It's a good day to be a cardholder of the American Express® Business Gold Card. American Express just quietly added a Squarespace annual credit of up to $150 for U.S. purchases made with the card. Here's what you need to know.

Amex Business Gold Adds Squarespace Credit

Cardholders of the Amex Business Gold can now enroll in the new Squarespace annual credit and receive up to $150 in statement credits each calendar year on purchases made directly with Squarespace on squarespace.com or acuityscheduling.com.

If you're a current Card Member, you'll find mentions of the new perk in your benefits dashboard.

As a reminder, Squarespace is an all-in-one platform that allows you to create a customizable website or online store for your business. Squarespace is especially great for freelancers or small businesses who want to accept payments for their products or services on the site.

Pricing plans range from $16 per month to $99 per month (when you pay annually). If all you want is to build your own custom website, you could cover a large portion of your annual membership with this credit. Even if you opt for the pro plan, you'll still save up to $150 once the credit has posted to your account.

Other Statement Credits on the Amex Business Gold

The new Squarespace credit is in addition to the credits Amex Business Gold holders already enjoy, like:

  • $240 Flexible Business Credit: Earn up to $20 in statement credits each month for purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and Office Supply Stores.
  • $155 Walmart+ Credit: Receive a statement credit for a Walmart+ membership each month, up to $12.95 plus tax.
  • Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.

Now, cardholders can maximize up to $545 worth of statement credits, far exceeding the $375 annual fee (Rates & Fees).

Final Thoughts

It's always great news when a credit card issuer adds a benefit without taking existing benefits away or increasing the annual fee. If you're a Card Member of the Amex Business Gold, you can immediately get value from the new Squarespace statement credit.
