If you’re a fan of the Capital One Lounge experience, we’ve got good news. Capital One has announced plans to open a brand-new lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

Here’s an early look at what you can expect from the upcoming Capital One Lounge at CLT.

Capital One to Build an Airport Lounge at Charlotte (CLT)

Those who’ve traveled through Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in recent years know the airport has been undergoing extensive construction. Part of that work, specifically in Concourse A, will bring a brand-new Capital One Lounge to the airport.

Capital One announced the new location on January 8, 2026, though there’s no official timeline for when the lounge will open.

What we do know is that the lounge will measure approximately 14,000 square feet and be located on the mezzanine level of Concourse A’s expansion.

When announcing the new location, Capital One also offered a preview of what travelers can expect inside, stating:

“At CLT, Capital One will showcase its regional approach to dining and design, with expansive tarmac views, locally inspired menus, a full-service coffee bar, and dedicated workspaces that create a warm, light-filled environment for travelers.”

It goes without saying that this is big news. There’s a lot to like about Capital One Lounges, and a brand-new space like this will be a welcome addition to a busy airport that has a few lounge options, but nothing overly spectacular.

Like you, we’re also hoping the lounge opens sooner rather than later.

Bottom Line

Capital One has been on a bit of a rampage when it comes to expanding its airport lounge footprint nationwide. Las Vegas (LAS) and New York–Kennedy (JFK) are among the most recent additions, and the issuer also has a Capital One Landing Lounge concept in the works at New York–LaGuardia (LGA).

Once it opens its doors, Charlotte (CLT) will be a fantastic addition to Capital One’s growing lounge network.
