Choice Privileges offers an auction tool that allows you to redeem your points for various experiences, such as music and sporting events. Now is a great time to check it out — especially if you're in the mood for a little adventure. Choice Privileges Experiences has just expanded its catalog with new packages for concerts, weekend getaways, food tours, and racing events.

For example, you can currently bid as few as 30,000 points to get two 1-day Whiteface Mountain lift tickets and a 2-night hotel stay at the Cambria Lake Placid. And a modest amount of 10,000 points will allow you to brag about having dinner with Ross Chastain for at least a year.

Here's a look at using your Choice Privileges points for sports experiences.

Our Take

Redeeming hotel points for experiences is gaining popularity as increasing numbers of brands get in on the act. While Choice is not the first to offer this option, it will not be the last brand to jump on the bandwagon.

Redeeming your Choice Privileges points for experience can provide excellent value. You often can't purchase these experiences directly, so it's hard to put a price on them — whether in cash or points.

That said, it’s easy to get caught up in the thrill of bidding. Be sure to crunch the numbers and bid based on what the experience is worth to you.
