If you're a World of Hyatt loyalist, you have a few new ways to use your points. Beginning March 24, 2026, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts will participate in the World of Hyatt program. That means members will be able to earn and redeem points at 22 all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, and Spain.

Here's what you need to know about the integration.

Bahia Principe to Join the World of Hyatt Portfolio

Starting March 24, 2026, when you stay at a Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts location, you'll be able to earn World of Hyatt points, work toward status, and redeem points for your stay. You'll earn 5 base points per $1 spent, with an additional 4 points per $1 if you are a The World of Hyatt Credit Card (Rates & Fees) or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (Rates & Fees) holder.

You'll also earn credits toward tier status and Milestone Rewards, along with a credit toward a Brand Explorer Award. For those unfamiliar, the Brand Explorer Award is a free night given for every five unique Hyatt brands you experience, which now includes Bahia Principe properties. World of Hyatt elites will enjoy on-property benefits, including late checkout and room upgrades, subject to availability.

Bahia Principe will follow the standard Hyatt all-inclusive award chart. This means free nights start at just 12,000 points during off-peak dates. However, you'll need to check each property's category on its official Hyatt page, which will be released when booking is made available. Some properties will be in a higher category than others.

Until individual property pages are made available, you can learn more about the partnership on the World of Hyatt and Bahia Principe landing page.

Final Thoughts

It's always nice to have new ways to earn and redeem your World of Hyatt points. The World of Hyatt all-inclusive portfolio was already strong, but having additional options throughout the Caribbean and Europe can't hurt. Within the Bahia Principe portfolio, you'll find a mix of family-friendly and adults-only destinations. Each is lively and comfortable, set against a stunning tropical backdrop. And starting March 24, 2026, you'll be able to enjoy World of Hyatt benefits during your Bahia Principe stays.
