Frontier has undergone a major brand transformation in recent years. The Denver-based airline launched its new and improved loyalty program at the beginning of 2024 and has since added several new features for frequent travelers to enjoy.

From the opportunity to buy elite status for $69 for a limited time (that's sadly no longer available) to the introduction of UpFront Plus seating and complimentary upgrades, there have been many changes to get used to. But now, Frontier Miles Members can redeem miles for bags, seats, priority boarding, and more.

Here's what you need to know.

You Can Now Use Frontier Miles for Bundles

Starting October 28, 2025, Frontier Miles members can redeem miles for bundle add-ons. There are three bundles available, and each comes with a variety of perks:

  • Economy bundle: Includes a carry-on bag, standard seat selection, and no change or cancel fees. Starts at 2,000 miles.
  • Premium bundle: Includes everything in the economy bundle, plus a premium seat selection. Starts at 4,000 miles.
  • Business bundle: Includes everything in the premium bundle, plus two checked bags up to 50 pounds each and an UpFront Plus seat selection. Starts at 8,000 miles.

Here's what this looks like in practice. A nonstop flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Miami (MIA) in January 2026 would cost just $23 one-way for a basic fare. You can then pay between 2,000 and 8,000 miles to add a bundle to your ticket.

Essentially, this allows you to book a “cash + miles” fare. If you were to book the flight entirely with miles, you'd pay anywhere from 5,000 miles for a basic fare to 13,000 miles for the business bundle, plus $6 in taxes and fees.

With fares so low, this news likely doesn't make a huge difference, but it could be helpful for some travelers.

Bottom Line

It's always nice to have more ways to use your miles. The ability to pay cash for what's effectively a basic economy ticket and miles for add-on bundles is great for anyone who only has a few thousand miles in their account. If you're short on miles, you can always sign up for the FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard® and earn its welcome bonus, or buy Frontier miles for a deep discount when they go on sale.
