If you’ve got a Southwest Airlines credit card, it’s now more rewarding to use it for Lyft rides.
On April 2, 2026, Southwest announced that Rapid Rewards cardholders can now earn up to 5X points on all Lyft rides. And like other ways to earn rewards on Lyft, it’s super easy to take advantage of this new opportunity to boost your balance.
Here's what to know.
Earn up to 5X Points on Lyft Rides With a Southwest Card
Effective April 2, 2026, all Southwest Airlines credit cardholders can earn up to 5X Rapid Rewards points on Lyft purchases. Here’s how many points you’ll earn on Lyft rides with each card:
- Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card (Rates & Fees): 5X total points on Lyft rides
- Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card (Rates & Fees): 5X total points on Lyft rides

Each offers ways to offset Southwest’s newer fees, like checked bags. They can also help you board earlier or snag your preferred seat ahead of time.
