Best Ways to Fly to Paris Using Miles
Let’s start with one of the easiest ways to fly to France using miles: Flying Blue, the joint loyalty program of Air France-KLM. You can transfer points from multiple programs, award pricing is often reasonable, and children receive a 25% discount on Air France award tickets — even when booking with miles.

Getting to Disneyland Paris by Train
From London, Brussels, or Amsterdam
For many travelers, Disneyland Paris is part of a larger European itinerary. If you’ll be arriving from cities like London, Brussels, or Amsterdam, consider taking the Eurostar.
You can travel by train to Paris Gare du Nord or directly to Disneyland Paris from select destinations. While the direct London-to-Disneyland Paris route has not yet resumed, there is a direct service from Brussels.

From Paris
From central Paris, Disneyland Paris is about 45 to 60 minutes away using a combination of metro and RER trains, depending on your starting point. A Navigo Pass (around $38) covers travel on the Paris metro and the RER ride to Marne-la-Vallee–Chessy station, where the parks are located.
Navigo passes also work throughout the city and can be purchased at train stations or airports.
From Charles de Gaulle Airport
If Disneyland Paris is your first stop in Europe, a Navigo Pass isn’t the best option — it would route you through central Paris and significantly extend your travel time.
Instead, the fastest option from Charles de Gaulle Airport is the TGV, France’s high-speed train, which runs directly to Disneyland Paris. Tickets can start around €20 per person when booked in advance, but be aware that pricing is dynamic and often climbs much higher — sometimes exceeding €50 per person, especially for last-minute or peak-time departures.
The ride takes roughly 10 to 12 minutes, and tickets can be purchased after landing at CDG.
Now that you know how to get there, let’s look at what makes the parks unique — and how much time you’ll want to plan for your visit.
Disneyland Paris Features
Disneyland Paris Castle
The centerpiece of Disneyland Paris is its breathtaking Sleeping Beauty Castle. Designers really captured a romantic mood, with uniquely rounded tower spires and a lawn full of square boxwoods flanking the side.
Beneath the castle, an animatronic dragon roars. Guests can venture inside the soaring castle interiors, climb the stairs, and walk through Sleeping Beauty artwork. As an added bonus, the castle tour exits through the back, onto a turret platform with sweeping views of Fantasyland, another highlight of Disneyland Paris.
Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris is also gorgeous and notably different from its U.S. counterparts. While many familiar attractions are present, the land includes several experiences unique to this park, which we’ll cover next.
Disneyland Paris rides
Disneyland Paris is home to two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World (known as Walt Disney Studios Park until March 29, 2026). Between them, you’ll find a mix of classic Disney attractions, upgraded versions of familiar rides, and experiences unique to the resort.
You’ll find plenty of familiar attractions at Disneyland Paris, including Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pirates of the Caribbean, and — at Disney Adventure World — Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
In some cases, the Paris versions are even more exciting than what's available in other Disney parks. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain features inversions, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is widely regarded as the best version worldwide — longer, faster, and more immersive than its U.S. counterparts.
Looking ahead, the World of Frozen opens in March 2026, making Disney Adventure World an even bigger draw starting this spring.
We also recommend prioritizing a few attractions you can’t experience anywhere else in the world.
First is Crush’s Coaster at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park), a family-friendly spinning coaster themed to Finding Nemo. Next is Alice’s Curious Labyrinth in Fantasyland — a hedge maze inspired by Alice in Wonderland, complete with a Queen of Hearts’ Castle at its center. Finally, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force offers a Marvel-themed retelling of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster experience.
If your main priorities are the castle and the attractions unique to Disneyland Paris, a one-day park hopper ticket is usually sufficient. That calculus may change as additional expansions come online at Disney Adventure World in 2026 and 2027.

Whether you’re a seasoned Disney fan who wants to buy park hoppers and speed-run a day trip to the parks or want to purchase multiday tickets and stay overnight in Chessy, there are several ways to cover ticket costs with points. You may also qualify for one of Disneyland Paris’s special discounts.
Just keep in mind that ticket pricing is dynamic, so costs can vary significantly depending on the season.
Types of Disneyland Paris tickets
Disneyland Paris sells two primary ticket types:
- Dated tickets that are valid only on specific dates
- Undated tickets that can be used any time before the end of the year in which they’re purchased
If you opt for undated tickets, you’ll need to reserve your park dates in advance.
Why you might want your tickets to code as travel
If you’re trying to earn as many points as possible on vacation expenses, how your Disneyland Paris tickets code on your credit card matters. Many rewards credit cards earn bonus points on travel purchases but not on entertainment.
Tickets purchased directly through Disneyland Paris — outside of a hotel package — typically code as “entertainment.” To potentially save money and have the purchase code as “travel,” consider buying tickets through a third-party seller such as AttractionTickets.com.
This also makes it easier to offset the purchase using miles from the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or points from the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Elite Credit Card, both of which allow statement credits against eligible travel purchases.

Booking Disneyland Paris admission with Citi Travel℠
Citi offers several credit cards with access to Citi Travel, including options with no annual fee. Through the portal, eligible cardholders can purchase Disneyland Paris tickets, often at prices comparable to those offered by third-party sellers.
Citi ThankYou Points are worth 1¢ each when redeemed through the portal. While that isn’t exceptional value, it does provide a straightforward way to use points for admission.
Similarly, Bilt Rewards members can redeem points for travel purchases through the Bilt Travel portal, with points also worth 1¢ each toward tickets and other eligible travel expenses.
Special rates on Disneyland Paris admission
Disneyland Paris also offers several generous admission discounts.
Disneyland Paris Priority Cards and disability discounts
Disneyland Paris offers a 25% disability discount for one guest plus an accompanying person on one-day tickets or annual passes. Guests must apply for a Priority Card up to one month before their visit and present approved documentation at the park. These discounted tickets are available only at the gate.
Disneyland Paris military discounts
Active and retired military members from the U.K., the U.S., and France qualify for a 50% discount on Disneyland Paris admission. Discounted tickets can be purchased online in advance, with proof of military service required for verification at the gate.
Disneyland Paris Hotels
For most visitors, one or two days at Disneyland Paris is sufficient. With that in mind, the lodging options below are split into two categories: hotels in Paris for day trips to the parks and hotels near Chessy for longer stays. Each option includes ways to book using points.
Staying on points in Paris: When Disneyland Paris is a day trip
Hyatt has several strong properties in Paris, but our top pick is the Category 5 Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. Many rooms have been updated, and the Regency Club offers a full breakfast along with light lunch and dinner service — all with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower.
If you’re planning to visit Disneyland Paris as a day trip from central Paris, transportation is an important consideration. There is no direct high-speed train service from the city center, which adds travel time and makes advance planning more important.
Hyatt Globalist status or using club upgrades will gain you access to the Regency Club. Alternatively, you can book certain rooms that specify club access in the title or description. Staying on points near Chessy: When Disneyland Paris is a multi-day trip
First, let's talk about Disneyland Paris resorts.
Staying at an on-property Disneyland Paris hotel comes with two primary perks. First, the resorts are within walking distance of the parks. Second, Disney hotel guests receive 30 minutes of early park entry, which can be useful for popular attractions during busy periods.
We've stayed in a Disneyland Paris resort and felt the perks weren't worth the price. Sure, it was nice to stay steps away from the parks, but taking the train from hotels booked on points will drop you off right at Disney's main gates.
Furthermore, while it's nice to get a head start in the parks before all the off-property guests arrive, we still found ourselves standing in long lines for the most popular rides. All in all, we don't think it's necessary to stay on property at Disneyland Paris.
Booking Disneyland Paris resorts on a travel portal
If you do decide to stay at a Disneyland Paris resort, booking through a credit card travel portal is typically the only way to use points. Citi, Chase, and American Express all allow redemptions for Disney hotels through their portals — although the value varies widely.
In particular, American Express redemptions at Disney hotels often provide poor value, with points worth as little as 0.6 cents each. For that reason, portal bookings are best reserved for situations where convenience matters more than maximizing point value.
Booking lodging near Disneyland with IHG points
A Holiday Inn Express can be found just a 10-minute drive or a short ride on the #34 bus from Disneyland Paris. Besides proximity, guests enjoy complimentary breakfast — like all Holiday Inn Express locations.
Award pricing is dynamic, with rates ranging from roughly 18,000 to 80,000 IHG One Rewards points per night, though availability around 25,000 points per night is common for much of the year.
The main drawback is room size. Award rooms typically sleep only two guests, so larger families will likely need to book multiple rooms.

Booking lodging near Disney with Marriott Bonvoy® points
