ANA Mileage Club can be incredibly rewarding, but its award charts and routing rules aren't always the easiest to navigate. In this guide, we'll walk through ANA's award charts for domestic flights, ANA-operated international flights, and partner awards. We'll also explain stopovers, open jaws, and other booking rules that can help you stretch your ANA miles further.
Understanding the ANA Mileage Club Award Charts
Before you price an award through ANA Mileage Club, you need to determine which award chart applies. Mileage Club uses three award charts:
- ANA domestic award chart: Seasonal, distance-based chart covering eligible domestic flights within Japan with ANA flight numbers.
- ANA international award chart: Seasonal, zone-based award chart covering international flights on ANA. There are three seasons, and the dates change each year.
- ANA partner award chart: Non-seasonal, zone-based award chart covering all partner awards, including Star Alliance and non-alliance partners

ANA domestic award chart
The ANA domestic award chart is the most straightforward of the trio, but make note of the following:
- Domestic award flights start at 6,000 miles one way.
- You can book one-way or round-trip ANA domestic awards.
- On connecting journeys, you can use up to two segments for a one-way award and four for a round-trip award ticket. This means you could book something like Sapporo (CTS) to Tokyo (HND) to Osaka (ITM).
- If an award contains more than one sector, the total distance of the two sectors will determine the award's overall distance.
- Pricing is seasonal and divided into low, regular, and high seasons. Pricing is cheapest in the low season, and you can view dates and their respective prices on the domestic chart page of ANA’s website.
- If a multi-sector domestic award spans more than one season, the required mileage for each season will be combined.
ANA international award chart
Here are the key details:
- ANA international awards are valid only on ANA (NH) flights, not codeshare or partner flights.
- You can now book one-way or round-trip awards; previously, only round-trip awards were bookable.
- Award rates are dependent on the zone, season, and class of service.
The chart below shows prices for ANA flights to and from the U.S. Prices are for round-trip award tickets, with one-way prices being half the cost. Remember, these prices do not apply to partner airlines.

ANA partner airline award chart
This award chart covers ANA’s Star Alliance and its non-alliance partners like Etihad, Vietnam Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic.
- Partner awards are not seasonal. There is only one award rate per class of travel.
- Partner awards can now be booked one-way or round-trip for reservations and tickets issued on or after June 24, 2025.
- You can mix and match Star Alliance airlines for an award, but the award cannot include non-alliance partners.
- When flying non-alliance partners, the entire itinerary must utilize the same carrier.

An example of mixing and matching ANA Star Alliance partners would be:
- Depart Singapore (SIN) on Singapore Airlines, headed to Tokyo (HND).
- Fly with United Airlines to Newark (EWR).
- Fly home with ANA on both legs, connecting through Tokyo again.
Meanwhile, with non-alliance partners, you can only fly a single airline. Using Air Macau as an example, you could book a round-trip ticket from Macau (MFM) to Taipei (TPE), but you cannot fly from Macau to Taipei on Air Macau and connect onward to Tokyo with EVA Air.
Since ANA now allows one-way partner awards, you could book those as separate one-way awards if that better fits your itinerary.
Partner award charts from the U.S. and Europe are straightforward, showing award rates for economy, business, and first class — where available. They don’t include Japan, however, which is explained below.
For flights to/from North America:

ANA partner award flights into and out of Japan require more explanation. The chart is split into Zone 1–A and Zone 1–B.
Zone 1–A awards contain only one overseas sector. A nonstop flight from San Francisco to Tokyo would qualify for the Zone 1–A award rate, as would an award that contains connecting flights within Japan (up to two connections).
| Class of Service | South Korea/ Russia 1 (Zone 2) | Asia 1 (Zone 3) | Asia 2/ Russia 3 (Zone 4) | Hawaii (Zone 5) | North America (Zone 6) | Europe Russia 2 (Zone 7) | Africa/ Middle East (Zone 8) | Central/ South America (Zone 9) | Oceania/ Micronesia (Zone 10) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Y (economy) | 15,000 | 20,000 | 35,000 | 40,000 | 50,000 | 55,000 | N/A | N/A | 45,000 |
| C (business) | 30,000 | 40,000 | 60,000 | 85,000 | 110,000 | 115,000 | N/A | N/A | 85,000 |
| F (first class) | 45,000 | 60,000 | 105,000 | 140,000 | 170,000 | 190,000 | N/A | N/A | 135,000 |
Zone 1–B awards apply to all other international awards. If you have any stopovers or connecting flights outside of Japan, including layovers or open jaws, then you utilize Zone 1–B award pricing.
| Class of Service | South Korea/ Russia 1 (Zone 2) | Asia 1 (Zone 3) | Asia 2/ Russia 3 (Zone 4) | Hawaii (Zone 5) | North America (Zone 6) | Europe/ Russia 2 (Zone 7) | Africa/ Middle East (Zone 8) | Central/ South America (Zone 9) | Oceania/ Micronesia (Zone 10) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Y (economy) | 18,000 | 23,000 | 38,000 | 43,000 | 55,000 | 62,000 | 100,000 | 115,000 | 50,000 |
| C (business) | 33,000 | 43,000 | 63,000 | 89,000 | 117,000 | 121,000 | 185,000 | 195,000 | 91,000 |
| F (first class) | 54,000 | 69,000 | 114,000 | 151,000 | 187,000 | 207,000 | 290,000 | 327,000 | 150,000 |
There are certain restrictions on ANA's area regions. ANA has broken the regions up into three “areas,” which you can see below:
- Area 1: North America, Hawaii, etc.
- Area 2: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia (west of the Ural Mountains), etc.
- Area 3: Japan, South Korea, China, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Southwest Pacific, Russia (east of Ural Mountains), etc.

This is an important point to consider when booking an award, and it's one of the most common errors thrown up by the ANA booking interface. If you book an award from Area 1 (the Americas) to Area 3 (Asia + Oceania), for example, you cannot connect in Area 2 (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa).
It does, however, open up some interesting routing options. We cover these in more depth in our post on ANA sweet spots.
You can find all the details regarding partner award flights on the ANA partner award charts.
ANA Stopovers, Open Jaws, and Mixed Classes/Seasons
ANA’s stopover and open-jaw policies can be a bit hard to decipher, as the rules differ when booking ANA-operated international awards versus partner awards.
For round-trip ANA international Awards, you can't have a stopover if you're departing Japan, but you can book one stopover and an open jaw when departing other countries:
“For round-trip itineraries, you can make one stopover besides the destination, but only when departing from outside Japan. Stopovers are not possible for itineraries departing from Japan.”
For round-trip partner awards, however, you can book a stopover and open-jaw itinerary when departing any country — including Japan.
“Stopovers are not allowed on one-way itineraries. For round-trip itineraries, one stopover is can be made besides the destination.”
To calculate the cost of mixed-class awards, follow these rules:
- When flying mixed-class itineraries on ANA flights:
- If a one-way itinerary includes flights in two or more classes, the price of the higher class will apply.
- If a round-trip itinerary includes flights in two or more classes, the higher-class fare will apply to the outbound and return journeys, respectively.
- If the outbound and inbound journeys are in different classes, halve the total required mileage for both segments.
- When flying mixed-class itineraries on partner flights:
- For one-way partner awards with mixed cabins, ANA should price the itinerary based on the highest cabin used.
- If a round-trip itinerary includes flights in two or more classes, the higher-class fare will apply to the outbound and return journeys, respectively.
- If the outbound and inbound journeys are in different classes, halve the total required mileage for both segments.
- If either segment has a connection, or if there is more than one sector and multiple classes, use the required mileage for the higher class of service in your calculations.
