Our Take

Since rebranding from Club Carlson to Radisson Rewards in March 2018, Radisson Rewards has released some lucrative promotions. The only issue with this promotion is the ineligibility of Radisson properties in the US, although if you have some international travel planned over the next couple of months, then this promo can be quite valuable.

  • It would be a great deal if the US properties were included

  • The Radisson program, like the Choice program, is not as centralized as HHonors, Marriott, Starwood, etc., so the benefits and promotions are often very regional.

  • Bill from Maine says:

@Cha-while I disagree with your comparison of Choice(Choice is everywhere and promo’s simple) and Radisson(Radisson isn’t), just imagine what a program would look like if each of these companies merged. I can only dream. Radisson needs to be absorbed.

  • That’s a good amount of bonus points. Better than what the other brands are running. Too bad it’s not valid in U.S. locations otherwise they would get a lot of my stays.

  • Signing up. Thank you!

  • There’s the “Nordic” Choice program.

  • @Cha Not entirely correct. Hilton definitely offers many regionally targeted promotions. The only significant differences being that Hilton has a much larger US footprint (and global footprint, for that matter), along with more numerous, and better, high-quality properties.

  • Really generous if you consider that Radisson’s category I hotels start from just 9000 points!

  • The_Bouncer says:

@Vitali Absolutely. It’s not often you see a “Buy 2, get one free” promo.

  • It’s good to see a promotion that is available in Asia! Will sign up for this when I need a hotel stay in the next couple of months. Thanks for the information.

  • Such a generous bonus amount! While I have no immediate plans for travel within this promo time frame, my girlfriend does and I definitely will tell her about it.

  • Sebastian says:

Just for myself: How much would you value these 5000 Points? Like, if I find a rate for, say, 50Euro – is the 5000 Points worth it?

    • I would personally value them at no more than about $15 USD. Look at a property where you want to stay, see how many points it costs, and then compare the cash cost. Do the math and decide if it makes sense for you.

  • Maryjane says:

I am heading to South America soon and I have noticed that there are several Radisson properties in the town where I am going. Since there are very few other branded hotels in the region, I might just have to start collecting Radisson points again. Thanks for the info.

  • I don’t see Radisson BLU mentioned, is that excluded overseas, too?

  • Yet, these category I hotels are somewhat scarce, most Radisson hotels are always 28000 points and above

  • Too bad it excludes properties in the US! I was just about to book something there with Radisson, perhaps, I should opt for something else that will give me more points!
