Wyndham Rewards tends to fly under the radar, but it can deliver solid value, especially because it’s relatively easy to earn points during stays. With more than 9,000 properties worldwide — from upscale brands like Dolce to budget-friendly stays like Days Inn — plus partners like Cottages.com and Caesars Entertainment, the program offers a wide range of redemption options.
AwardWallet users typically redeem Wyndham points for 1.3¢ each, with even higher value possible on the right redemptions.
One of the main ways to earn Wyndham Rewards points is, of course, by staying at its properties. Let's explore how many points you can earn from your stays and how you can accelerate your earnings.

Earning Wyndham Points for Paid Stays
For each qualifying Wyndham hotel (or vacation club resort) stay, you'll earn 10 points per dollar spent. For stays costing under $100, you'll earn the minimum of 1,000 points.
A qualifying stay means booking at least one night (with a daily average rate of at least $25) at a participating property. Points can only be earned by booking directly through Wyndham. Stays reserved via third-party platforms like Expedia or Hotels.com won't qualify for points.
If you have Wyndham Rewards elite status of Gold or above, you'll qualify for bonus earnings at the following rates:
- Gold: 10% more points
- Platinum: 15% more points
- Diamond: 20% more points

Earn Wyndham points at Caesars properties
Going to Vegas? Thanks to Wyndham's partnership with Caesars, you'll earn Wyndham points when staying at Caesars properties. These are earned at the same rate as a Wyndham stay, including any elite status bonus. Make sure to include your Wyndham membership number when staying at a Caesars property.
Earn more Wyndham points with promotions
Wyndham promotions change regularly, but they can help you earn even more points on your stays. You may see offers for higher earning rates at specific destinations (double points in Latin America) or fixed bonuses on eligible stays (earn 7,500 bonus points after staying three or more nights). These offers are worth checking before you book.

Can you earn points on more than one room at a time?
In short, yes! If you're booking more than one room, you can earn even more. Wyndham allows you to earn points on up to three rooms per night. Make sure that the same member's number is associated with each room. Stacking multiple rooms with elite status could certainly net you a good chunk of points for future stays.

Earning on Points + Cash Stays
Wyndham Rewards offers two redemption options for hotel stays: go free and go fast. Go free allows members to use points for the entire cost of the room at a fixed rate of either 7,500 points, 15,000 points, or 30,000 points, depending on the hotel. These stays do not earn points.

However, the Go Fast option allows you to use a set rate of points plus cash to discount your stay. In this case, you will still earn points at the same 10 points per dollar spent on the room rate. In the example below, you'll see booking options for either 30,000 points or $154 plus 6,000 points. In this case, if you book the go fast option, you'll also earn 1,540 points per night.

Rules for Miscellaneous Charges
You’ll earn points on the eligible room rate for your stay, but not on taxes, fees, or incidental charges like dining or resort fees.
Points are only earned on paid stays booked directly through Wyndham — award stays do not earn points.
One notable exception is that you can earn 10 points per dollar spent on tours, activities, and travel packages through Wyndham Travel Bundles.

How Wyndham Co-Branded Cards Boost Your Earnings on Stays
Wyndham has three co-branded credit cards, all issued through Barclays. Each provides bonus points when paying for Wyndham stays in addition to the base points earned from the stay. These are the current options available:
- Wyndham Rewards Earner® Card
- 5X points on Wyndham hotel stays
- $0 annual fee
- Includes complimentary Gold status
- Wyndham Earner Card full review
- Wyndham Rewards Earner® Plus Card
- 6X points on Wyndham hotel stays
- $75 annual fee
- Includes complimentary Platinum status
- Wyndham Earner Plus Card full review
- Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card
- 8X points on Wyndham hotel stays

Combining these earnings can add up quickly. For example, a member with the Wyndham Earner Business Card earns 10X points on Wyndham stays, a 20% bonus on base points with Diamond status, and 8X points when paying with the card.
On a $200 stay, that’s 2,000 base points, a 400-point Diamond bonus, and 1,600 points from the credit card — for a total of 4,000 points.

Bottom Line
The Wyndham Rewards program is straightforward and offers good earning potential.
Although many Wyndham properties fall into the program’s “value” category (think La Quinta and Days Inn), there are also standout resort and international properties bookable for 30,000 points or less. Redemptions like U.K. vacation rentals through Cottages.com and stays at Caesars properties can further boost the program’s value for those who can take advantage.
By maximizing your earning potential with hotel stays, you can keep boosting your Wyndham points balance for future stays!
