A unique opportunity is available for Choice Privileges members looking to book a resort stay in the Caribbean. Sandals and Beaches Resorts are offering up to 65% off, 35,000 bonus points, and Gold Elite status with 3+ night stays booked by January 8, 2025, and completed by January 8, 2027. Here are the details.
Get Up to 65% Off, 35,000 Choice Points, and Gold Elite Status With This Promotion
Choice Hotels has a new, unique partnership with Sandals and Beaches Resorts. With this partnership, Choice Privileges members have a surprisingly good partnership for eligible all-inclusive stays in the Caribbean.
Through January 8, 2025, members can book a stay of three or more nights at any Sandals and Beaches Resort with up to a 65% discount. Furthermore, members will earn 35,000 bonus points on the stay and get complimentary Gold Elite status for one year if they don't already have it.
Complimentary Gold Elite status is only for Choice Privileges members who do not already hold an elite status. It activates within eight weeks of the eligible stay and is valid for one year. As such, the elite status does not apply to the Sandals and Beaches Resort stay.
This offer is valid for one eligible stay per calendar year. Thus, you could potentially collect the bonus points four times. You would need to complete a stay by the end of 2024, two more in 2025 and 2026, and a fourth stay in 2027 by January 8. The Gold Elite status is only offered on one stay. After the year, members must qualify for the status by other means.
Eligible Sandals and Beaches Resorts
Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts are two all-inclusive resort groups under Sandals Resorts International (SRI). While Sandals Resorts are adult-only, Beaches Resorts are family-friendly.
Several Sandals Resorts and three Beaches Resorts are spread across the Caribbean. The resorts are not part of the Choice Hotels portfolio. However, Choice currently has a promotion for Privileges members to earn bonus points, get elite status, and save big on eligible stays at Sandals and Beaches Resorts. The resorts eligible for this promotion include:

How to book a stay through this promotion
To take advantage of this promotion, you must pick your property from the list above and book your stay through the dedicated offer page.
It goes without saying that “up to 65% in savings,” plus any additional offers, could potentially reduce your bill significantly. However, the stays at the eligible resorts aren't particularly cheap, and you'll still need to cover your airfare and other costs.
For example, three nights at the Sandals Dunn's River Resort in April 2025 drops down to $2,980.70 after a $100 online instant credit and an additional 55% off. Strangely, it wasn't easy to find any availability at the resort for a stay of three nights. April was the first opportunity.
Prices are significantly higher if you're looking to stay by the end of 2024. Even with instant savings and significant discounts, a 3-night stay at the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos will set you back $7,643.60.
The cheapest stay I could find was at Sandals Ochi in Jamaica. After $325 in instant savings and 55% off, the price drops to $2021.30, meaning $337 per person per night. That's a big price to pay for limited benefits and 35,000 points.

Our Take
AwardWallet users currently redeem Choice Privileges points for 0.6¢ each. As such, members can earn roughly $210 worth of points through this promotion. That's not huge compared to the price tag on these all-inclusive stays. Furthermore, these stays do not qualify to earn elite bonus points or count as Elite qualifying nights, nor do they qualify for Your Extras/Weeknight Rewards.
That's not to say you shouldn't take advantage of this promotion. If you've never stayed at any Sandals and Beaches Resorts and are a Choice Privileges member, perhaps now is the time to book a stay. Just make sure to do so by January 8, 2025, if you want to earn the 35,000 bonus points and get complimentary Gold Elite status.
